Het is al een tijdje stil en iedereen is vast benieuwd wat de plannen voor aankomend seizoen zijn. Maak je borst maar nat en lees snel verder!

Voor de laatste race in Assen hadden we natuurlijk al veel ideeën over aankomend seizoen. Na een wat teleurstellende race in Assen, waar Tasia jammer genoeg door de nat geregende baan ten val kwam maar hem wel uitreed, moesten we toch beslissingen gaan nemen.

Last Race for 2010 goes down with a blast!

The last round of the St George Road Race Series was held last weekend at my home track at Eastern Creek and I had my 600cc bike out for its last hurrah before the 2011 season begins in February. The weekend's sweltering heat made the track temperature less than desired causing the track surface to be a little slippery that's for sure.

Saturday the 6th was practice and a solo (20 minute) race. During the solo race I dropped my times down to two seconds faster than what my fastest time had previously been at Vegas; however, I did end up falling while trying to get around someone.

As the final round of WERA West drew near, my anxiety of running at Las Vegas Motor Speedway grew exponentially. I have struggled with the LVMS Classic Course track since the first time I ever rode there in 2005. Struggled mentally... struggled because that track plays to my weaknesses... it's not a terribly flowing track, and there are several critical corners that are incredibly difficult to get correct.

Das MH Team ist Vizeweltmeister

Am vergangenen Wochenende fand der letzte Lauf zur Supermoto Weltmeisterschaft am Harzring statt. In unserem Team starteten Marcus Haas, Rik Zulka, Stefan Schreiner und ich.

Vor langer Zeit habe ich euch versprochen: "Ich hol' mir den Spaß zurück." Am vergangenen Wochenende war es endlich soweit. Auf dem Plan standen 12 Stunden Supermoto. Genau heißt das 6 Stunden am Samstag und 6 Stunden am Sonntag. Das erste Mal Probesitzen durfte ich bereits auf der Intermot. Am Anfang dachte ich, ich hätte das Supermoto fahren verlernt. Trotzdem durfte ich zur Super Six wieder starten.

The final round of the Formula Xtreme Series was held at my home track so I was very excited to be taking my ladies out for their last outing for 2010. Friday practice went well and a small gearing change on the R6 made all the difference as my times were slowly creeping down to where my goal was for the weekend. Saturday's racing went great guns.

La prestigiosa gara ad invito rientra nel Motolive, la kermesse di competizioni/esibizioni motociclistiche presentate al più importante salone della moto del mondo, quello che si terrà dal 2 al 7 novembre alla Fiera di Milano.

Il Kawasaki Petronas Team Nastedo di Domenico Corbo ha deciso di chiedere la partecipazione a Paola Cazzola, campionessa della velocità, plurititolata in Italia ed Europa e prima donna in griglia nel mondiale SuperSport quest'anno.

TINMOUTH TAKES THIRD IN SUPERSPORT CUP

Jenny Tinmouth has secured third position overall in the Supersport Cup that is run within the main Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship races which form the premier support package to the prestigious British Superbike Championship. She finished in 20th position overall, and fifth of the cup competitors in the final race of the series held at Oulton Park last weekend to end a highly successful British Supersport Cup campaign which has seen her win at Silverstone and take four other memorable podiums.

Zaterdag 2 oktober is de lucht grijs en alles nat, het ziet er naar uit dat het de hele dag nat blijft. Op zich vind ik dat niet heel erg, want dan doe ik een beetje mee. Als het droog is dan rijd ik achteraan maar als het nat is rijdt de rest langzamer en ik rijd dan dezelfde tijden.

Well it was the last round of Knockhill at at the weekend. We went up on Friday and got the caravan set up. We had a garage and we weren't getting in until Saturday after the track morning. We got set up and got my bikes ready for the practices. In the first practice it was dry and I was running my bike in for the first few laps. Then it was just normal practice.

TTXGP: Tumbling last round at Brands Hatch

I only just changed riding gear from rally to racing and took off for the last round of the UK series of the TTXGP at Brands Hatch. This weekend also the European series had their final round at Brands Hatch, so it would be very interesting to see the French, Chinese, Russian, Italian and German competitors. Unfortunately the rainy weather and brand new tarmac surface on the track would inflict badly on the racing this weekend.

Das Wochenende fiel für mich diesmal buchstäblich ins Wasser. Anfangs konnte ich am Samstag früh meine beiden ersten Zeittrainings der Klasse SSP 600 und 125ccm noch auf trockener Strecke fahren. Beenden musste ich das 1. Zeittraining in der 125er Klasse allerdings sehr unsanft.

Samuela De Nardi, portacolori del team Virgin Radio ParkinGO, è riuscita con l'ottava posizione in gara a chiudere in quarta posizione assoluta la classifica generale.

Am Freitag vor den Rennen konnten wir bei tollem Wetter schon mal trainieren. Tolle, aber sehr rutschige Strecke. Leider hatte die Wettervorhersage sich nicht geirrt, am Samstag sind wir bei strömendem Regen aufgewacht. Streckenbegehung, oder besser gesagt "Streckenrutschen" war angesagt.

De laatste wedstrijd van seizoen 2010 heeft Tasia afgesloten met een 14de plaats. Na het afsluiten van het Duits Kampioenschap vorig weekeinde was het dit weekend de laatste keer dit seizoen dat Tasia in Nederland op de 125cc machine in actie kwam. Het weekend begon op zaterdag met een kwalificatie die droog verliep. Tasia moest toch weer wat wennen aan de motor en de afstellingen die voor Assen gunstig waren. Na het afsluiten van de eerste kwalificatie was Tasia nog niet tevreden. In de tweede kwalificatie moest het beter. Maar dat plan viel al snel in duigen, omdat de tweede kwalificatie droog begon, maar al snel door de regen erg nat werd. De tijden van de ochtend zouden daardoor bijna door niemand verbeterd worden. En dat resulteerde in een 13de startplaats.

WILLOW "FILTHY HOT MESS" SPRINGS

Willow Springs makes me think of the Shel Silverstien poem, Where the Sidewalk Ends. On one side, you have grippy, if just a little bit abrasive, asphalt that feel so good when you're slathering on throttle like frosting on a birthday cake, and on the other side, you have absolutely nothing. The end of the universe. A place where bikes are dragged back from the abyss, usually in multiple pieces, and always covered in dust, filled with rocks, and more bent than Lindsay Lohan a day after rehab. So in other words, it makes for exciting riding and racing.

Peggy heeft de tweede plaats in het B eindklassement behouden en is nu vice kampioen! Hein stabiliseert zijn 7e positie in de A klasse. Het 3D cup seizoen wordt traditioneel afgesloten tijdens de ONK Race of the Champions op Assen. Inclusief de nieuwe Ruskenhoek bocht in de GP layout van het circuit. En het klimaat is weer onvoorspelbaar. Kortom een uitdagend weekend!

Am Freitagvormittag fuhren wir bei bestem Wetter nach Bayern. Bis zum Abend konnte ich trainieren und merkte, dass ich wieder voll bei der Musik bin. Und obwohl ich seit dem Sachsenring schon in Gedanken bei meinem neuen Moped bin und eigentlich nicht wirklich viel Lust auf die schwere und lahme Honda hatte, macht mir diese anspruchsvolle Strecke tierisch Spaß, jedenfalls so lange es trocken war.

18th & 19th September 2010 East Fortune. Melville

It was East Fortune last weekend and it was the last round of Melville. I was really excited to be back out on my bikes after Croft. Andrew and I drove down on Friday night and my bikes were all ready to go for Saturday. It was quite chilly on Friday night so nobody knew what the weather would be like.

Saturday morning I woke up and it was dry but a bit dull. I was out back to back on my GP bike then the Aprilia.

Hockenheimfinale im Kreis gedreht...

Der Wettergott meinte es gut an diesen Wochenende und das Team war auch zuversichtlich, ein Highlight zum Abschluss zu setzen. Am Freitagstraining hatte Sarah schon die ersten Probleme, sie bekam kein vernünftiges Feeling für ihre Suzuki und dazu kam, dass wenig Grip da war, vermutlich durch die Porsche-Fahrer, die tags zuvor auf der Strecke waren. Sarah kam einfach nicht auf ihre Zeiten vom Jahr zuvor und das Team baute ihr das Motorrad von vorne nach hinten um ohne den richtigen Erfolg.

Am Freitag zu den beiden freien Trainings wurde noch viel verändert, anfangs hatte ich Fahrwerksprobleme. Nach und nach fanden wir dann ein gutes Setup für die am Samstag stattfindenden zwei Zeittrainings. Das Wetter war an diesem Wochenende glücklicherweise schön.

Septembre, 2010/ 4 hour endurance race (english version below)

Samedi - course d'endurance de 4 heures. L'équipe "Formula Femme" fût mise sur pied par Shandra Crawford sur sa moto R6, avec les coureuses suivantes: Nadine Lajoie, Christie Cooley et Krystyna Kubran. À un moment donné, elles étaient classées 6ème au grand total mais malheureusement Krystyna a eu un accident.

Saturday: 4 hour endurance race. "Formula Femme" team was put together by Shandra Crawford on her R6 with the racers Nadine Lajoie, Christie Cooley and Krystyna Kubran. At one point, they were 6th overall in their class but unfortunately Krystyna crashed. She was fine but not the bike!

Met een keurige 26ste plaats heeft Tasia Rodink het seizoen in het Duitse Kampioenschap (IDM) afgesloten. OP het circuit van Hockenheim kwam ze opnieuw in actie in de 125CC klasse.

De vrijdag stonden zoals altijd in het teken van de vrije trainingen. Drie voor de 125cc klasse.

Der Saisonhöhepunkt fand wie jedes Jahr auf dem Sachsenring statt. Hier fahren wir auf einem Teilstück des GP Kurses. Und da war ich natürlich wieder hochmotiviert, endlich wieder eine richtige Rennstrecke und nicht so eine Micky Maus Kartbahn wie in dieser Serie sonst üblich. Auch der Veranstalter hatte wieder einmal mitgedacht und die kreuzgefährliche Schikane vor Start und Ziel begradigt. So ist das halt im Motorsportland Sachsen!

WMRRA Round 7 - End of Season Race Report

The last round of the season couldn't have been more challenging, yet I couldn't have asked for a better ending! We were faced with two make-up races on Saturday (those missed at the beginning of the season). Thus, I had five sprint races to compete in - more than I've ever run in my entire racing career in one weekend. However, the extra races gave me another chance to earn points towards the overall season standings.

10th/11th/12th September 2010. CROFT BSB

Mid September and my big brother and I took the three hour journey to Croft for the BSB. :D My mum and dad travelled down on Thursday morning to get set up and we went down at night.

Friday practices. I woke up and it was dry and I couldn't wait to get on my bike. I was getting two 20 minute sessions. I only did around 7 laps just to make sure my bike was running well and get my head back into the track.
