Da poco conclusa anche la seconda giornata di qualifiche sul tracciato TT di Assen. Nella classe SS600 Danilo Dell'Omo e Paola Cazzola chiudono il turno del pomeriggio mantenendo pressoché invariate le posizioni in classifica: 16 e 18 rispettivamente, con un crono di 1'41.1 per Danilo e 1'44.4 per Paola. Partiranno domani dalla quarta e quinta fila.
Dell'Omo: "Sono soddisfatto della moto e i tempi di oggi lo dimostrano, abbiamo ridotto il distacco che ci separava dai piloti davanti a me. Abbiamo apportato alcune modifiche importanti, ma ora siamo arrivati a un buon punto, soprattutto con la ciclistica. Cercherò quindi di continuare a fare progressi e un ulteriore passo in avanti, sia per la gara di domani che per le prossime, in attesa di arrivare a Monza."
Soddisfatto dei miglioramenti e del lavoro fatto fino ad ora anche il Team Manager, Maurizio Cucchiarini : "La pista non è delle più facili, siamo concentrati e stiamo lavorando molto con i piloti. Sono contento dei progressi che abbiamo fatto da quando siamo scesi in pista venerdì mattina, abbiamo ridotto di molto il gap dagli altri piloti e migliorato costantemente i nostri tempi. Non ci resta che attendere domani." [...]
Domani quindi l'appuntamento è con la SuperSport alle ore 09.50 per il Warm Up seguito dalla gara alle 13.30, 21 giri, 95.382 km.
The second day of practice on the Assen TT track has just finished. In the SS600 Danilo Dell'Omo and Paola Cazzola closed the afternoon practice remaining quite in the same ranking positions as yesterday: 16 and 18 respectively, with a 1'41.1 and 1'44.4 wich will make them starting from the 4th and 5th row on the provisional grid.
Dell'Omo: "I'm satisfied and the time I set today can show that we've reduced the gap which separated me from the other riders. We've made some technical changes on the bike and now we're improving fast. I'll do my best, for the race tomorrow and waiting the monza round in 2 weeks."
M. Cucchiarini, team Manager is also satisfied with the improvements: "This track is one of the most difficult in the championship, is very fast; we're working hard on the bike and with the riders. I'm very satisfied with the improvement we've made since Friday as we approached the track, we've reduced the gap steadily. Now we just have to wait until tomorrow." [...]
Tomorrow's schedule: SS600 Warm Up at 09.50 followed by the race at 13.30 as usual. 21 laps, 95.382 km.
