Round 1 R.A.C.E. regional series
Goyer was off to a good start of the weekend during Friday's practice and Saturday's qualifying. "I felt comfortable on the bike; the new Ohlins suspension is just fantastic! I have more confidence, and everything is a lot smoother." Goyer qualified 8th in the Novice 600 class and 4th in the Women's Open class.
Sunday morning practice seemed promising for Goyer. "I did my best lap time during Sunday morning's practice and everything felt very smooth and I knew I had more in me for the race."
Unfortunately Goyer had to pull out of the Novice 600 race due to mechanical problems with the motorcycle. This resulted in a DNF for the Novice 600 race and a DNS for the Women's Open race, which means Goyer will have a lot of catching up in points to do! "I am really disappointed. I knew I was going to have a good race, and I've been looking forward to getting back out there... The bike will hopefully be fixed for next round."
Goyer plans on racing at Round 2 of the R.A.C.E series on May 16th at Shannonville Motorsports Park.
