Round 2 Pro Honda Oils Women's Cup Challenge

A Challenging and adrenaline filled weekend at ICAR!

Fans filled the paddock this Sunday at the first round of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship held at ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec. Icar is known to be an extremely technical and physically demanding track. Goyer raced in the Pro Honda Oils Women's Cup Challenge. Starting with a 1.43 lap time in Thursday afternoon's practice, Goyer was able to drop down to 1.34 during Sunday's race. She states: "Every session I went out I dropped my times by a second or two. This is what I like to see... improvement, improvement, improvement!"

Goyer qualified in 5th position for the Women's Cup Challenge, and finished a strong 5th place in the race. "My start could have been better, and although my rear shock was bottoming out, I tried to stay with the girls in front of me, but the bike was too unsteady. I still dropped my times and am very happy with my results'", stated Goyer. With significant improvement throughout the weekend, Goyer looked more confident and smoother on the track.

Goyer added: "I had amazing help this weekend. Huge thanks to my friend Chris Boyer who spent his weekend helping me. Also thanks to Brian Kamp for giving me a hand with the suspension."

The next Women's Cup Challenge round will be held on June 13th, 2010 at Toronto Motosports Park in Cayuga; hosted by S.O.A.R.
