Friday morning's practice got rained out, but by noon the track was almost all dry except for a few puddles. Goyer's first session ended quickly when she low sided. Goyer explained: "I hit the puddle in the hairpin and down I went." Luckily for her there was very little to no damage to the bike and she got away with only a few bruises.
On Saturday, Goyer qualified 12th for the Novice 600 race and 3rd for the Women's Open Expert race. "It was a tough day", Goyer said. "Both my qualifying sessions were back to back and I was pretty banged up from Friday's low side. I was just physically burned out."
Goyer finished 9th in the Novice 600 race, and took the 3rd position on the podium in the Women's Open Expert race. Goyer said: "I was happy to be on the podium, but I wasn't extremely pleased with my performance throughout the weekend: although I do realise that everyone is gonna have a bad weekend." Goyer is looking foward to coming back stronger in the next round, wich will be held September 6, 2010 at Shannonville Motorsports Park.
