Het is al een tijdje stil en iedereen is vast benieuwd wat de plannen voor aankomend seizoen zijn. Maak je borst maar nat en lees snel verder!

Voor de laatste race in Assen hadden we natuurlijk al veel ideeën over aankomend seizoen. Na een wat teleurstellende race in Assen, waar Tasia jammer genoeg door de nat geregende baan ten val kwam maar hem wel uitreed, moesten we toch beslissingen gaan nemen.

È un connubio tutto vicentino quello che entrerà in pista all'EICMA, il prossimo 5 novembre, per l'Internazionale Supermotard. La prestigiosa gara ad invito rientra nel Motolive, la kermesse di competizioni/esibizioni motociclistiche presentate al più importante salone della moto del mondo, quello che si terrà dal 2 al 7 novembre alla Fiera di Milano.

Il Kawasaki Petronas Team Nastedo di Domenico Corbo ha deciso di chiedere la partecipazione a Paola Cazzola, campionessa della velocità, plurititolata in Italia ed Europa e prima donna in griglia nel mondiale SuperSport quest'anno.

VIR!!

Well, after about two months off it looks like I'll be able to get back in the saddle thank to our all girls endurance team and amazing sponsors for Cycle Jam! We'll be racing in the trophy class - no points - for the 4 hour endurance on Frenchie's 2004 R6. It's stock including suspension, motor etc, so needless to say we are in it just for the giggle fest factor. Afterall, what a better girls weekend than at the track surrounded by good friends and some really fast racers. I can't wait to feel my knee graze the pavement at over 100 mph. It's a completely zen yet adrenaline pumped feeling that you cannot describe, only experience.

I will give you a brief rundown on what has been going on lately.

I finished the 2010 NZ championships in 2nd place in the 125gp class. Unfortunatley not the win we were hoping for, it was a hard fought season and we learnt a lot from it. We had a bit of a rough run at the South island rounds, although I improved my consistancy from last year I wasn't able to fight for the lead as often so we came into the North Island rounds with a huge points deficit to the lead.

Jeder konnte am Nürburgring sehen, dass ich zur Zeit nicht in der Lage bin, ein Motorrad am Limit zu bewegen. Die neue Seel sollte mir zum Erfolg verhelfen, aber das Gegenteil ist eingetreten.

TTX eGrand Prix at the AMA Nationals

The first electric bike race is about to take place in a few short days at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. I was approached to be a rider for a bike running in the TTX eGP and I was excited at the opportunity of being a part of this historic event. Though excitement was mixed with nerves as well; the idea of riding an electric bike made by "some guy" as opposed to an Italian factory was a bit daunting.

The bike, a former 1995 Ninja 600, had just been replaced with new batteries that dropped one hundred pounds from the total weight. One hundred pounds!

New Season, New Number!

Kahuna Powersports Kawasaki rider Vicki Schouten kicked off the 2010 race season this past weekend at Shannonville Motorsports Park with some new sponsors and a new number. Schouten, who won the Women's Cup Challenge Expert championship and finished 3rd overall in the National Amateur Sport bike class in 2009, has moved up to the Pro ranks for 2010. She brings with her some new sponsors and a new race number. The former Amateur number 78 will be competing with the Pro number 40 plate for 2010.

Super Wetter und gute Laune, besser konnte der Einführungslehrgang in Aschersleben gar nicht beginnen. Trotz der langen und anstrengenden Fahrt am Freitag, startete ich motiviert in den Tag und begann schon um 7:30 Uhr mit meiner Rennkollegin und Freundin Vivi die Strecke zu erkunden. Nach gut organisierten Einweisungen und Fahrerbesprechungen ging es um 10:00 Uhr dann endlich los.
