A couple of cold, windy days greeted us in Feilding for round 2 of the International Tri-series. Fortunately my class - F2 supersport - managed to avoid the rain on both Friday and Saturday and I was able to get in some very valuable dry laps on the Honda CBR600.

This past Saturday Hampton Downs raceway hosted round 1 of the Suzuki Tri Series. Many racers including myself are using this series as a build up to nationals which begin in the south island in January. This was my first big race meeting on the Wolf Pack Racing Honda CBR600 so I was really looking forward to seeing how close to the pace of the front runners I could get.

Test auf der Wilbers BMW in Spanien (07. - 11.11.11)

Nach dem Eintagestest anschließend an das Hockenheim IDM Finale bekam ich jetzt zum ersten Mal die Möglichkeit, mich in Spanien mit meinem neuen Team und der BMW anzufreunden. Dort konnte ich innerhalb von vier Testtagen auf dem Parcmotor Castellolí bei Barcelona über 150 Runden drehen.

The first ever all feminine team (Nina Prinz, Paola Cazzola, Niki Kovács) at Endurance World Championship finished the 8 hours race at Doha in the 17th position overall and 6th in SST1000 category! We did 219 laps and we finished ahead of the BMW from Van Zon Boenig Team that closed the season with a second place in the championship.

I had a secret. And I was able to keep it dark for a long time. But now it's over, I can and I want to tell you everything. Now I'm writing these words in Doha, Qatar. Thanks to QMMF (Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation) and FIM I can introduce you the first ever all feminine team in Endurance World Championship. The riders that are making this history are Nina Prinz (Germany), Paola Cazzola (Italy) and myself, eg. Niki Kovács (Hungary).

Tuesday 10:15 - I am standing in the Tech 3 box, in my leathers about to climb onto the M1. Talk about surreal. I kept waiting for someone to sit me down and give me the stern, "Don't mess our bike up" speech, but it never comes. Josh and the Bridgestone tech quickly brief me to give the tires a lap or two to come up to temperature but assure me I've got the softest tires available and that it shouldn't be so bad.

Race Report - MotoGP Phillip Island 125gp wildcard

After picking up the bike on Wednesday we headed straight out to the Island, greeted by beautiful weather. Coming from winter here I thought it was pleasantly warm and giggled to myself hearing Europeans complaining about how cold it was. Thursday was spent setting up the bike, walking the track with Darren from the California Superbike School and attending a riders briefing, plus making myself dizzy doing so many laps in my head.

EVENTFUL WEEKEND FOR TINMOUTH AT BRANDS HATCH!

Manx Glass and Glazing backed Jenny Tinmouth came into the final 'triple header' round of the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship in great form having secured points finishes in her previous four outings. Once again she showed her true pedigree in Britains top 600cc class by taking her Honda CBR600RR to a fine 12th place in race two, but had to retire from the first race earlier in the weekend due to a technical problem. Jenny once again displayed her fighting spirit in the final race of the season, but would unfortunately crash whilst attempting to pass a slower rider.

My UK Adventure!

Just when I think I can't get any luckier, another awesome opportunity always seems to come rolling along. I didn't even learn to ride a motorcycle until I was 20 years old, so even though I have big hopes and dreams I try to be both optimistic AND realistic in setting goals. I started getting support this year from Tony Dexter at Motodex- Performance First with some cool Brembo goodies. We'd worked together earlier in the year, when the possibility of a World Endurance team came up, but after it fell through, he started talking about doing a wild card at a British Supersport round. He thought it would be a great way to promote his business, but it still seemed like a long shot to me. I was still pretty excited when I found myself sitting on a plane headed for London for the last round of the British Superport Championship at Brands Hatch.

As most have you will have heard I have obtained a wildcard entry to the Australian MotoGP event in the world 125cc class at Phillip Island next weekend. Yep, the 125 class they show on television right before motoGP in over 200 countries around the world. The real deal!
