Nach dem Eintagestest anschließend an das Hockenheim IDM Finale bekam ich jetzt zum ersten Mal die Möglichkeit, mich in Spanien mit meinem neuen Team und der BMW anzufreunden. Dort konnte ich innerhalb von vier Testtagen auf dem Parcmotor Castellolí bei Barcelona über 150 Runden drehen.

Avalon gets wildcard entry for 2011 Phillip Island 125 grand prix!

We are excited to announce Avalon will be making her debut in the world championships at the 2011 Australian MotoGP event on October 15/16th. Riding in the 125GP class, she will be aboard the honda RS125 she rode in the New Zeland championships with some extra modifications.

Donington Park

We participated in Suzuki Great Britain's launch of their new female specific website, Girl Torque, which included an all female group on track. It was great to see women from all around Great Britain come out and for some, ride on track for the first time ever. Though the day started out stormy and raining, it soon cleared up, but the winds did not abate with up to 80mph winds throughout the day.

It was a first for Zoe Rem to be riding at Donington Park, and it lived up to all her expectations. She was lucky enough to be able to ride an 1198 though it was unfortunately set up with standard shift, and that proved for some pretty entertaining moments on track: "You're heading into a corner and you think you're downshifting, but there's no engine braking and all of a sudden you remember you have to shift down to go down a gear instead of the other way round! By the time that thought has processed you're in pretty deep and pretty hot and you slam the shifter down twice now and the rear locks up, steps out and, if you're lucky (which I was a few times) backs you into the corner perfectly. Otherwise it half throws you out of the saddle and looks pretty sketchy for the poor chicks behind you (this happens more often than not)."

"Aside from the shifting issue, the bike and the track were awesome. Donington is super flowy and fast, especially the downhill front section. The only other concern was the wind on the back straight which insisted on blowing my right leg off the peg every lap without fail. I began to expect it though, so after the first few times it lost its alarm."

Some other highlights including riding with reigning British Supersport Champion Alastair Seeley and former British Superbike Champion John Reynolds.

EM i spania

Sesongen i scandinavian open har ikke gått helt som planlagt. Jeg var uheldig og fikk lungebetennelse, og rett etterpå fikk jeg store problemer med ryggen noe som gjordde at det var flere løp ikke ikke fikk fullført. På tross av motgangen har jeg nå fått mulighet til å kjøre EM (Europamesterskaps) finalen i Albacete, Spania andre helgen i oktober! Dette kan være muligheten jeg har ventet på. Å få kjøre utenlands, å få vist meg frem og kanskje, bare kanskje, noen finner interesse i meg og kan hjelpe meg videre i min karriere.

Ein paar News

Mittlerweile ist wieder viel Zeit vergangen, seit ich mich das letzte Mal gemeldet habe. Es ist viel passiert...

Ich war beim Festival-Italia in Oschersleben für Ducati Berlin auf einer 1098S am Start. Zwischen Franky Chili und Harald Kitsch habe ich mich in der Startaufstellung auf Platz 2 eingereiht. Und genau so kam ich in beiden Rennen ins Ziel. Gegen Harald und seine Buell war leider kein Kraut gewachsen... er hatte zwei blitzsaubere Rennen geliefert.

MYERS IMPRESSES IN MOTOGP DEBUT

Elena Myers made her debut on a MotoGP machine at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway yesterday as she completed a handful of laps onboard Alvaro Bautista's Suzuki GSV-R prototype machine. Team SuzukiScoopFans rider Myers was given the chance to ride the GSV-R after chatting with Suzuki MotoGP Team Manager Paul Denning at Laguna Seca this year and was able to fulfil that opportunity at Indy today. The 17-year-old produced a superbly-confident performance on the Suzuki as she completed five laps of the 4,216m American circuit as part of the build-up to this weekend's Grand Prix at the historic track.

Costello Revved Up for Manx Grand Prix

Maria Costello MBE, the BERING motorcycle leathers ambassador, is returning to the Isle of Man, after a successful TT, to compete on two very different classic machines at this year's Manx Grand Prix.

The former TT female lap record holder will be competing on a two-stroke around the TT course for the first time in her career when she contends a Bob Jackson Suzuki T20 in the 350/250 Classic Grand Prix on Monday 29th August. Her second steed is the familiar Steve Wheatman owned Suzuki XR69.

Training op Assen, volgend mechanisch probleem

Bijna 6 weken geleden heb ik een ongelukkige val gehad op de Varsselring in Hengelo en na bijna 6 weken herstel heb ik het weer mogen proberen op het circuit van Assen.

Tijdens mijn herstel periode heb ik een aantal wedstrijden en trainingsdagen moeten missen. Waaronder een KNMV Cup Wedstrijd op Assen en twee op Oschersleben. Ook een Van Zon Sprint wedstrijd op Zolder heb ik moeten annuleren. Ik baalde er ontzettend van, want ik had op Oschersleben en op Zolder graag willen rijden. Helaas, maar het was niet anders...

2-3 juli - Treningshelg ACR

Denne helgen var det endelig klart for  trening på hjemmebane! Bikeport arrangerte rr-trening og førerutviklingskurs fra torsdag til søndag. I tillegg sto ACM for lisenskurs og klubbløp. Endelig litt aktivitet J På grunn av jobb  kjørte jeg kun treningene som var på lørdag og søndag, i tillegg til klubbløpet lørdags kveld. Årets første runder på ACR var nok litt rustne og det syntes at det har vært ei stund siden forrige treningsheat på denne banen. Det virket som om uansett hva jeg gjorde så gikk det bare ikke fortere og jeg ble etter hvert litt utålmodig etter noen gode tider. Som en avveksling og som litt "ferie" hadde jeg lånt meg en Yamaha YZF-R1 som jeg kunne kjøre litt med noen av treningspassene. WOW! Dette var saker... Tusen takk til Tor Ivan Hansen som lot meg låne sykkelen i to dager. Du aner ikke hva du har gjort. ;p Det tok ikke lang tid før tanker om rookie1000 og superbike begynte å svirre mellom øra!

Klaar met die pech!

Met pijn en moeite schrijf ik aan jullie dit bericht. Helaas moet ik jullie melden dat ik door een rijder uit de cup 600 van de baan ben gereden. In een van de snelste bochten van het circuit (Ramshoek) reed deze coureur met volle snelheid in de achterkant van mijn motor waardoor ik weer zwaar ten val kwam op de toen nog geblesseerde knie.

Toni retires from racing

After a tough 2010, Toni made a pretty good start to the 2011 season in round 1 of RACE Superseries. Round 2 proved to be another story with a wet and windy weekend. Conditions were so miserable that after the Sunday morning session Toni pulled into pits and decided it was time to stop.

It was Knockhill Motor fair last weekend, and we were going up to display our bikes, and to promote our sponsors (Motor Cycle Law Scotland & Allan McDougall Properties). I arrived on the Saturday morning and I was going to be going out throughout the day to do demos for spectators. It was wet and windy, so my first demo I treated like a practice.

Donderdag 12 mei was er de mogelijkheid om op het circuit van Zolder te trainen. Er zouden 2 kwalificaties en 2 races gereden worden. Alle soorten motoren reden door elkaar in een groep. Het was natuurlijk geen echte wedstrijd voor mijn kampioenschap maar het leek ons erg leuk om een keer mee te doen. Ik moest tenslotte meters maken op mijn Yamaha om het vertrouwen weer terug te winnen.

Nowa miłość :-)

W najbliższą niedzielę 8 maja rozpoczyna się po raz pierwszy Puchar Polski Kobiet w Motocrossie X-CROSS. Oczywiście nie darowałabym sobie gdybym tam nie wystartowała pomimo, że termin pokrywa się z 1 rundą WMMP w Poznaniu. Chociaż dopiero rozpoczynam moją przygodę z motocrossem, WR-ke kupiłam pod koniec zeszłego roku i jeździłam w sumie tylko kilkanaście razy (w tym dwa razy na torze).

Schwerer Sturz beim Training in Oschersleben

Beim Training für die ersten beiden Rennen in Oschersleben ist Nadine am Ende der Start-Zielgeraden schwer gestürzt. Eigentlich wäre es ein normaler "Rutscher" geworden, leider fiel das Motorrad mit der Fußraste genau auf den rechten Knöchel. Dank der Daytona-Stiefel ist bei einem glatten sauberen Bruch geblieben, der wohl schnell heilen wird. Am Mittwoch, 4.5. wird Nadine operiert (Metallverstärkung) und wird dann hoffentlich bald aus dem Krankenhaus entlassen.

Einführungslehrgang ADAC-Junior Cup in Magione

Wir sind am 16.04.2011 nach Magione in Italien gereist. Da hat Carmen vom 17.4. bis zum 20.4. den obligatorischen Einführungslehrgang vom ADAC Junior Cup besucht. Es gab nur sehr wenig Freizeit für die Fahrer und für die Mechaniker. Es war ein volles Programm.

Nina: Acht Wochen außer Gefecht

Gutted, I was hoping we were testing on these days, I was all geared up to go, even loaded the truck with food and supplies, but John texted me on Sunday to say that he had cancelled the days for us as there was no point testing the bike when it was not full Superbike spec. Proper gutted.

El Kawasaki Palmeto Racing Team preparado para el CEV 

Ya ha acabado el tiempo de espera, el CEV arranca este fin de semana en el exigente y espectacular Circuito de Jerez.

Para Silva esta carrera supone el regreso a la categoría de las motos de 1000 c.c. tras su paso por Moto2. [...] Por su parte Elena ha dedicado el tiempo que ha pasado desde la última carrera del 2010 a mejorar aún más el aspecto físico, para poder pilotar la potente Stock Extreme al límite y de esta manera convertirse en una asidua al top ten. Rosell, que cumple su segundo año en el equipo capitaneado por José Lázaro y Pedro Parajuá intentará mejorar las posiciones que consiguió en la temporada de su debut y que la convirtieron en la primera mujer en puntuar en Stock Extreme.

Das Einführungstraining des Yamaha R6 Dunlop Cups 2011 am EuroSpeedway Lausitz (07. - 10.04) wurde von uns zur Vorbereitung auf das erste Cup-Rennen, welches am 24.04. auf selbiger Strecke bestritten wird, genutzt. Ich konnte mein Grund-Set-Up finden, sodass wir eine gute Basis zum Saisonauftaktrennen haben.

BSB Launch Day, Bedford Autodrome

Brad and I only found out on Saturday at the end of the test day at Anglesey that we had to prep the bike and take it to the BSB Launch on Wednesday. I was a bit gutted as we had just preped it for the test day and I didn't even get much time on it, but we did as we had to as, I guess, mine was the only bike in one bit.

We've had two practice sessions in 2011 so far. One at East Fortune and one at Knockhill. East Fortune was dry and sunny which I was really pleased about for my first time back out.

Anglesey Test Day

Brad and I prepped the bike which we still had hold of after the Hottrax endurance round and I was really looking forward to getting some time on it at Anglesey. I thought I would get all day on my bike and the team would take Hudson's, however John rang me to say that Hudson's bike wasn't ready so we would have to share my bike.

Résumé du 1er roulage en préparation de la Junior Cup Européenne

Nous sommes arrivés le Vendredi 25 Mars 2011 à 14 h 30 à bord d'un avion de la compagnie IBERIA à Almeria, où nous avons récupéré un véhicule de location, direction Guadix, notre hôtel. Fort heureusement nous avions pensés à prendre une Carte et le GPS. Arrivés à l'hôtel, nous n'avons pas tardé à manger et à nous coucher. Pour le lendemain, nous avions rendez-vous à 9 heures au "Circuito De Guadix" dans le Sud-Est de l'Espagne près des Sierra Nevada Mountains en Andalousie.

Voorjaarstraining op Aragon in Spanje

De eerste meters van 2011 zijn gemaakt op de nieuwe SBK en GP baan in Spanje; Motorland Aragon. Het is een mooie training geweest en we hebben warme droge als natte weersomstandigheden mogen meemaken. Alles voelde weer snel vertrouwd en goed aan en alles staat bijna klaar voor de eerste Cup wedstrijd.
