Die längste Reise dieser Saison führte uns in die Nähe von Hamburg, nach Geesthacht. Letztes Jahr konnte ich hier Punkte erkämpfen und war also entsprechend optimistisch. Doch das ist wohl nicht mein Jahr. Auch dieses Rennen ging wieder voll daneben und die Ursache lag eindeutig bei mir.

Peggy weer podium tijdens 3D cup Dahlemer 2010

Dit keer strijdt alleen de B groep voor de punten op het pittoreske circuitje Dahlemer Binz. U dacht dat het in de Ardennen altijd regent? De Eiffel ligt er vlak naast! Geen probleem voor onze enige Bravo Corse deelnemer Peggy. Onder nat/droog omstandigheden eindigt ze in de eerste race als derde en in de 2e als 8e. De tweede plek in het kampioenschap B groep is voorlopig veilig gesteld.

Ellesmore Port's Jenny Tinmouth has finished in 18th position overall, and fifth of the cup competitors in the latest round of the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship held over the recent Bank Holiday weekend at Cadwell Park. The result sees Jenny maintain her third place in the British Supersport Cup with three rounds remaining.

Concussion rules McAleer out of Cadwell

Omagh's Nicole McAleer will be missing from the grid during Bank Holiday Monday's "Party in the Park" round of the MCE British Superbike Championship, where the 18-year-old should have lined up for the Metzeler National Superstock 600 race. McAleer who had been putting in some excellent and consistently fast times during free practice on Friday, setting a lap of 1:37.393, which placed her in 12th place in Group A. However she was later ruled out of the meeting when she suffered a massive high side at the notorious Barn Corner section of the Lincolnshire track during the first qualifying session.

TTXGP round 3, Pembrey - Wales

A sweet and sour weekend. 7th place and a little success for Team Morris Motorcycles in the third round of the TTXGP, electric Grand Prix in Pembrey.

In the morning practice Wales delivered the typical Welsh weather – rain. And I was reluctant to go out and soak myself... until I realized my new set of Michelin rain tyres made riding so fun! After 11 laps I was the only one having completed the practice, and I was fastest!

Am Anfang sah es wie eine Kopie von 2009 aus. Am Freitag im ersten Zeittraining auf Platz 44, am Samstag dann Regenschauer und schwierige Streckenverhältnisse führten 2009 dazu, dass Sarah sich nicht qualifizierte, doch diesmal feilte Sarah nochmal eine Sekunde. runter und startete vom 43. Platz.

Wrapping up the first US TTXGP in Virginia

Just came back from Virginia's VIR TTXGP, the last round in North America for 2010, and only the finals in Spain left. That's it for North America, and what a year it has been! Taking part in the first ever Electric Motorcycle Racing Grand Prix was one for the history books. Looking back, it has been amazing, all the things that happened, all the people I have met. It went by in a whirlwind, prepping and developing the Mavizen, traveling, racing.

Regen van zege tijdens 3D cup Spa Francorchamps 2010

Een van de meest door ons gewaardeerde banen is Spa Francorchamps. Puur technisch met bijzonder hoge snelheden en daardoor veeleisend voor mens en machine. In deze prachtige groene valei regent het echter ook vaak. Dat hebben we gemerkt. In wet races rijden Peggy en Hein beiden podium, Peggy zelfs twee keer! Rob mist op een haar na zijn eerste punten in de A groep.

3D Cup op Spa Francorchamps

De woensdag voor de race vertrokken we richting Spa Francorchamps, we kwamen eigenlijk een beetje te laat aan, dus na het uitpakken zijn we gelijk gaan slapen. Donderdag moesten we immers vroeg op om in te schrijven, waarna al gauw bleek dat alle mede 3D Cuppers in de A groep zaten, behalve ik. Gelijk na de briefing (waar ik zomaar Teus tegen kwam, die de trackday reed en later besloot te blijven voor de ONK race) heb ik gevraagd of ik niet verplaatst kon worden naar de A, maar ik moest het maar een sessie aankijken.

13th/14th/15th August 2010. Knockhill KDMC.

It was Knockhill at the weekend for a double meeting. :) We went up on the Thursday night to get set up. We had practices on Friday so we got up and it was sort of hot. I was just going out on my GP bike. I practiced pulling tape off the radiator but it never quite worked. I had a new piston in so I had to do two laps at full throttle but boggy. In the second session I had to come in and change my gearing as it was reving out for too long along the straights.

Leider gab es nur ein Training von 15min am Samstag und dann noch einen Sturz. Da konnte ich mir die Strecke nicht so gut einprägen. Ein wenig Änderung an der Übersetzung und schon ging es ins erste Zeittraining. Lief ganz gut, aber die Zeiten, die der schnellste Fahrer hatte, waren verdammt gut. Das würde knapp werden.

Round 8 - Brands Hatch GP (08/08/10)

The barrel that went bang at Thruxton was finally back from Japan and looking like new again. This was the first time since the first round of the season that the RS was back to it's proper spec and I queued up for first practice with a warm tingle knowing that my little ring-dinger was back, heart 'n sole! Finishing 8th fastest I almost got the impression the bike was glad to be back too!

Lucky Sevens for Jordan Szoke Cashes into a Perfect Season

Jordan's wife Amy Szoke also competed in the National Amateur Sportbike championship and supporting Atlantic Roadracing League Amateur Superbike feature class on her Honda CBR600RR. Amy finished 12th and 14th in the Amateur National Class, completing her first National Season in 9th place. Amy also finishes 7th and 10th in the supporting Amateur Superbike class.

Jenny Tinmouth returned to Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport action last weekend competing in round eight of the championship at one of her favourite circuits Brands Hatch. She made solid progress all weekend, qualifying on the fifth row of the grid and running in a strong 12th position in the  race, competing for victory in the Supersport Cup, before crashing out of contention at the left hander of Surtees.

Brands Hatch disappointment for Omagh's McAleer

It was disappointment for Omagh's Nicole McAleer at Brands Hatch on Sunday during the latest round of the Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship, which was held over the full International Brands Hatch circuit. Despite qualifying well up the grid in 26th place, having been up as far as fifth place during the wet final qualifying session, her luck was to run out in the race.

Il weekend appena trascorso ha visto tre RacinGirls impegnate nei trofei monomarca che si svolgono nel contesto della Coppa Italia. Per la 4^ tappa dei trofei Honda Laura Marongiu #7 è stata protagonista in una wild card nella Hornet Cup, mentre Vittoria Rampolla #8 nel Trofeo CBR600RR Cup. Per la 5^ tappa dei trofei Kawasaki Monica Ferrari #25 ha partecipato al Kawasaki Junior Trophy. 4e au Championnat de l’État de Californie

Infineon Raceway, le 1er août 2010 - La deuxième ronde de Championnat de l'État de Californie a eu lieu sur la piste à Infineon Raceway (Sears point), combinée avec l'événement AFM à cette même piste. La plupart des concurrents étaient des coureurs de longue date sur leur "piste maison", mais Nadine est parvenue à la 4e position sur le Championnat de l'État de la Californie dans la catégorie "Formula 40 Middleweight" avec les hommes sur sa moto 600 CBR RR/Catalyst Reaction Suspension.

Infineon Raceway, August 1st, 2010 - The second round of the California State Championship was held at Infineon Raceway (Sears Point), combined with the AFM event at that track. Most of the competitors were fellow racers on their home track, but Nadine was able to reach the 4th position in the California State Championship of the Formula 40 Middleweight with the guys on her 600 CBR 600RR/Catalyst Reaction Suspension.

6. IDM-Lauf Schleiz

Schleiz wird nicht die Lieblingsstrecke von Sarah. Platz 26 liegt weit hinter den Erwartungen, obwohl sie 2 Sekunden schneller war.

Ein richtig verkorkstes Wochenende, los ging es schon im Freitagstraining, als in der dritten Session Sarah mit neuen Reifen auf Zeitenjagd gehen wollte, um das Setup für das Rennen zu testen. In der dritten Runde lief sie auf einen Viererpulk auf, hinab zum Buchhübel blockierte ihrem Vordermann schlagartig die Bremse bei 220km/h. Sarah wich reflexartig aus und versenkte ihre Suzuki ungebremst in das Kiesbett. Zum Glück kam sie nur mit Prellungen davon und wurde kurz drauf wieder aus den Medicalcenter entlassen. Ihre Suzuki verformte sie jedoch so stark, das ihr Team die ganze Nacht das Motorrad wieder renntauglich machen musste.

Jenny Tinmouth took on a new challenge last weekend at Silverstone when she competed against the world's best Supersport riders in the British round of the Supersport – FIM World Championship. Racing with the likes of Eugene Laverty and ex champion, Kenan Sofuoglu, was never going to be easy but Jenny would be up for the challenge. Her weekend was improving as it went on, but unfortunately she would crash out of contention during the 16 lap race.

Na een paar weken rust was het afgelopen weekend weer tijd voor actie voor Tasia Rodink. Op het programma stond een wedstrijd voor het Duits Kampioenschap en daarvoor moesten de mensen van promemo afreizen naar Schleiz. Tasia kende de baan alleen van horen en zeggen, dus de eerste vrije training op vrijdag werden gebruikt om de baan te leren kennen. Vooral de eerste training was het wennen, maar al snel kreeg Tasia de juiste lijnen te pakken. In de tweede training kwam de Drentse stil te staan met pech.

I PROTAGONISTI – Sull'impegnativo circuito toscano, a rendere incerta la conquista della pole position fino all'ultimo secondo sono stati tre piloti: Martina Fratoni, Andrea Zanella e Alessio Giordani. La più veloce, grazie ad un "colpo di coda" nelle fasi finali, si è rivelata la 19enne jesina Fratoni, che ha centrato così il miglior tempo grazie al crono di 2'11.571.

Однако изначально узкая и маленькая трасса, практически не оставляющая места для частых обгонов, позволяет выйти в основную гонку только 36 участникам заезда.

The third stage of Trofeo Amatori Italiano in Franciacorta is over: Nataliya Lyubimova is on the podium again!

The racing week-end in Italy was as hot as the present Moscow summer. 48 people took part in qualifications under extremely tough weather conditions. However, the narrow and short track which has practically no space for frequent over-taking enabled only 36 racers to reach the main race.

Shannonville Ontario, 16-18 juillet, Long track

Du drame de fille, une chose dont je pourrais me passer et qui n'a pas sa place sur un circuit.

Tout allait bien pendant le weekend, je me suis qualifier 5e an Amateur 600, 5e en amateur superbike et 2e dans le RACE women's open.

I was doing well all weekend, qualified 5th in AM600, 5th in AM Superbike and 2nd in the Women's open class.

WMRRA Round 5 – Spokane County Motorsports Park

To sum things up, the race weekend was mixed with success and tragedy. I managed to come away with another personal best finish and best lap time. Likewise, the battles with Jeff Seehorn, Brad DeLong, and Doug Hillius made for a fun time on the track! Despite the fact that we were all sliding around due to very warm temperatures, the competition remained tight, and we all pushed each other to new levels.

Goyer finishes on the podium once again in the Women's Expert race at Shannonville Motorsports Park!

Friday morning's practice got rained out, but by noon the track was almost all dry except for a few puddles. Goyer's first session ended quickly when she low sided. Goyer explained: "I hit the puddle in the hairpin and down I went." Luckily for her there was very little to no damage to the bike and she got away with only a few bruises.

Welsh weather and electric bikes

This morning the real Welsh weather greeted us, with drizzle and strong wind. Ihoped it would stop for first practice session, I worried a little if the bike would short-cut the electrics when riding in the rain. But it didn't as I made 7 laps testing the re-programmed throttle.

Round 7 - Snetterton (18/07/10)

With the repaired forks and frame back in we were all ready to go at Snetterton. Strong winds on the Friday masked the feel from the bike so I just used the time to check out the new surface I'd heard about. With the wind due to ease for the next day we decided to use the first qualifier as our first proper practice to get some settings before hopefully attacking for a good lap in Q2.

Jenny Tinmouth has once again delighted her sponsors and fans by battling to a fine podium finish in round seven of the British Supersport Cup, run within the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship, held at Snetterton last weekend. She fought hard throughout the 20 lap race, impressing a bumper weekend crowd to finish in 18th position overall and third of the cup competitors, having overtaken Matthew Hoyle on the last lap to secure her third cup podium of the season.

Round 3 Pro Honda Oils Women's Cup Challenge

Goyer enjoys her weekend in the scorching heat at Mosport International Raceway!

The humidex didn't stop Goyer from having a good weekend. With very little time and experience on this track, Goyer started off with a lap time of 1.41 during Thursday morning pratice. But it didn't take long before she dropped to 1.36 during the afternoon pratice.

Mosport, le plus gros évènement de l'année sur la track la plus rapide au Canada. Je course sur ce circuit depuis 2006 sans jamais être capable de baisser mes temps sous le 1.30.5. Cette fin de semaine, mon objectif était d'atteindre les 1.29.

I qualified 6th for the Aprilia because I had done the least laps, which I think was a bit unfair. The timing didn't work so they put us in order of laps done...

Roebling Road Team Challenge

Friday morning, time to learn the track. We never walked the track the night before or that morning so first session out was the first time I saw the track, other than on youtube videos. The track was quite easy to learn, I think by like lap five or something I wasn't the slowest person on track anymore. As the day went on and the lap times dropped the more I struggled with chassis problems again.

It was a busy weekend for the Fast Company crew, as they also prepared Jordan's wife Amy for her classes, AM Sportbike and a cameo in Honda Pro Oils Women's Cup. Amy lived up to her famous last name by scoring her first ever National Win in the Pro Honda Women's Cup on her CBR600RR. Amy snatched the lead by the first lap, and lead the entire race until three corners to the finish where she was passed by a fellow competitor.

July 10/11

[...] Despite my early to bed program, Saturday practice did not go as I had planned, I was WAY off my pace and extremely frustrated... what the heck was I doing different from three weeks ago that had me so far off the pace? I worked on braking and using my clutch to control the engine braking, but it seemed obnoxious how much the bike was engine braking, specifically into turns 3, 10, and 11.

Ridin' solo

The week after a race weekend, my Facebook and the Bay Area Riders Forum start to bloom with race reports. With the exception of one or two talented writers, they're generally pretty dull, like the enthusiastic telling of a dream that the dreamer alone finds fascinating. They usually go like this: we came in and set up. We made these changes to the bike. I crashed in Saturday practice but my awesome pit crew helped me get the bike back together over late night drinks and camaraderie. On Sunday I diced with Ricky Bobby and I got him at the line and we yukked about it after the race. In my next race I got a bad start but then I picked off six guys by the end. Racing is awesome, my sponsors are awesome, people coming together is awesome and it's why we love our sport, yada yada yada.

Yawn.

I want to know the real shit.

Weekend Oschersleben; nieuwe baan, nieuw ervaring rijker

Een lang en warm weekend stond op de ONK en SuperCup coureurs te wachten. We gingen een weekend trainen en rijden op Oschersleben, een Duits circuit achter Hannover. Een korte en technische baan, maar makkelijk was het zeker niet! Met een 20ste en 17de plaats was ik redelijk tevreden. Helaas geen punten kunnen pakken, waar ik wel op had gehoopt.

Road America Team Challenge

Road America is by far one of my favorite tracks. So needless to say I've been looking forward to this event. I had not ridden my bike or any bike for that matter since Blackhawk, so I was ready to go racing again.

Going into Road America we were sitting 35 points out of the lead. So 9 points a weekend is all we need to gain from here on out. Going into the weekend we knew it wasn't going to be easy.

Na een paar dagen werken vertrokken we op vrijdag opnieuw richting Oschersleben, dit keer wat later dan gepland want de vernieuwde spoel was pas om 11 uur klaar. Snel de motor in elkaar, even laten lopen om te kijken of het goed werkte en hup alles de bus in. Om ongeveer half 2 vertrokken we, precies de voetbaldrukte in. Al de file zorgde er wel voor dat we de hele wedstrijd Nederland – Brazilie op de Nederlandse radio hebben kunnen volgen, al moesten we voor de laatste 3 minuten even stoppen op een parkeerplaats. Samen met wat andere Nederlanders waarbij op hetzelfde moment het signaal weg begon te vallen hebben we even gejuicht en toen konden we weer verder.

Well the BSB at Knockhill last weekend was an up and down experience this year. I was very excited to be on the track with the BSB people again. On Friday I woke up and it was a lovely day. I was on track at 11 for one of my first practices of the day with the BSB boys. :) The first session was really good and I had a lot of fun trying to tag onto to the bikes that passed me.

Kicsi, savanyú, de a miénk. A mondás sajnos a gyorsasági motoros országos bajnokságra is igaz. Egynapos programba sűrítve, egyazon a pályán, most már hétköznap. Az üres lelátók és az idén már elhagyhatatlan hűvös időjárás sem hevítették fel a hangulatot, az egyetlen pozitívum, az a maroknyi mezőny egyre meggyőzőbb, folyton javuló teljesítménye, amit az izgalmas versenyek és a köridők is alátámasztanak. Így történt ez a Magyar Bajnokság és a MAMS Női Kupa negyedik fordulóján, szerdán a Hungaroringen.

It's small, it's acid, but it's ours! The sentence is coming from a famous Hungarian comedy, but unfortunately it's true for the Hungarian Road Racing Championship as well. One day program, at the same circuit, now on weekday. The empty grandstands and this summer's cool weather didn't help for the elation too, the only positive thing was the performance of the riders which improves from race to race. The exciting battles and the lap times were the evidence. It happened like this at the fourth round of the Hungarian Championship and the MAMS Women's Cup.

I was looking forward to racing at Eastern Creek as it is my home track and I know it like a best friend, although not to my liking I have seen the grass and gravel up close and personal in probably too many corners. A Perfect Weekend at Race City for Team Szoke

Double Header action secures racing both on Saturday and Sunday keeping the Waznie Racing/Ciclo Werks BMC/Dewildt Honda Fast Company crew busy not only with their defending champion Jordan Szoke but with also with his wife Amy Szoke competing in her class, Amateur Sportbike.

Amateur 600 qualifying found Amy Szoke shy on the grid. "I was really bummed about my qualifying result, I am a second and a half behind my personal best from last season and it's really put me in a bad position on the grid. I had better get a good start."

With the frame still away for a bit of Uri Geller treatment Jeff swapped in a previously crash repaired '96 frame we had tucked away in the loft in case of emergency and we were up and running for Mallory Park. Returning from another impressive performance at the recent Isle of Man TT, Jenny Tinmouth was competing at Mallory Park in round five of the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship last weekend. The Leicestershire circuit is a compact 1.41 miles, a stark contrast to the 37.73 miles of public road that makes up the TT circuit. Jenny achieved an excellent 17th position overall and finished in fourth place of the Supersport Cup competitors, a position that elevates her back up the standings to third place, just two points behind the leader, Dan Kneen.

Bei bestem Sommerwetter fuhren wir nach Hessen. Bei den letzten Rennen hatte ich mich in den Punkterängen etabliert und wir waren gespannt, ob das so weitergehen würde. Die Strecke war total neu für mich und es war der Hessen/Thüringen Cup mit uns mit am Start. Und diese und auch unsere Fahrer, die dort voriges Jahr gefahren sind, kannten die Strecke schon aus dem FF. Freies Training am Vortag war nicht, also nahm ich mir Freitag spät abends die Strecke mit dem Kart vor. Besser als gar nichts und ich fand die Stecke einfach geil.

ISLE OF MAN TT SUMMARY 2010

Returning to the Isle of Man for her second year of competition at the World famous TT races, Jenny Tinmouth surpassed her existing female lap record during the Superstock TT, and then turned up the wick even further during the final lap of the Senior TT to record a stunning lap averaging 119.945mph!!!

Rennen 9 und 10 in Wittgenborn am 26. Juni 2010

Das Rennen in Wittgenborn hatte ich mir eigentlich etwas entspannter vorgestellt. Mit 25 Fahrern im Training und Zeittraining auf der Strecke war es allerdings alles andere als entspannend. Insbesondere im Zeittraining wurde die Menge an Fahrern und das sehr unterschiedliche Fahrkönnen zum echten Problem, um eine halbwegs gute Zeit zu erzielen. Ist mir dann aber ganz gut gelungen. Startplatz 14 von 49. Damit war ich dann auch ganz zufrieden.

Si è corso lo scorso weekend sul tracciato del Misano World Circuit l'ottava prova del Mondiale Supersport che ha visto al rientro Paola Cazzola dopo lo stop dovuto alla cessata collaborazione con il Kuja Racing Team e la conseguente assenza nelle ultime tre prove del campionato.

La pilota vicentina ha affrontato il weekend romagnolo a bordo di una R6 allestita dal Team Elle 2 Ciatti in versione Stock, team con il quale ha raggiunto un accordo nelle ultime settimane. Moto che seppur conosciuta non é stata potuta provare prima del venerdì di prove libere, con la quale i miglioramenti sono però stati costanti durante tutto il soleggiato finesettimana.

Juni 2010 Sachsenring uitdaging voor Tasia

Tasia heeft tevreden de vierde ronde van het IDM (Duits kampioenschap) op de Sachsenring afgesloten. Op het programma stonden drie vrije trainingen, twee kwalificaties en twee wedstrijden. Tasia kwalificeerde zich als 37ste en in de wedstrijden eindigde zij op een 36ste en een 26ste plaats.

Shannonville Ontario, 18-20 juin, Fabi track

Ma fin de semaine a bien commencer en baissant mes temps de 2.5 secondes de mes meilleurs temps sur cette piste. Ce 1.06.8 m'aurais placer 3e en amateur l'an passée mais cette année, c'était juste assez vite pour me qualifier 9e et 10e. Au moins j'ai eue la pôle avec les filles.

I had a great start to the weekend dropping my times 2.5 seconds from my best ever on that track. That 1.06.8 would have put me 3rd last year in amateur but instead I qualified 9th and 10th in amateur. I did get pole though in the women's.

I will give you a brief rundown on what has been going on lately.

I finished the 2010 NZ championships in 2nd place in the 125gp class. Unfortunatley not the win we were hoping for, it was a hard fought season and we learnt a lot from it. We had a bit of a rough run at the South island rounds, although I improved my consistancy from last year I wasn't able to fight for the lead as often so we came into the North Island rounds with a huge points deficit to the lead.

4. IDM-Lauf Sachsenring
Sarah zeigte bei Ihren Heimrennen einen deutlichen Aufwärtstrend

Die Wettervorhersage für das Rennwochenende ließ befürchten, dass es wieder ein verkorkstes Rennen werden würde wie die ersten drei IDM-Rennen, doch es kam ganz anders. Der Wettergott meinte es diesmal gut, so tröpfelte es am Freitag noch ein wenig und am Samstag war es trocken/bewölkt, der Sonntag aber zeigte sich mit wunderbarem Sonnenschein.

Sarah zeigte im freien Training schon, dass sie deutlich zugelegt hat, sie fuhr hier schon Zeiten auf dem Niveau des Qualifying vom letzten Jahr.

Round 4 - Pacific Raceways

On Friday, I was given the opportunity to test Jon Friesen's NCR Millona - an exotic V-Twin Italian race bike (only a small number of these bikes have been produced in the world). My first impression? The bike was absolutely incredible! The handling, torque, and brakes surpassed that of the R6. The only advantage the R6 had over the Millona was its overall top-end speed. By the end of the day, I was simply giddy with excitement for the chance to race the bike on Saturday.

June 12/13

Round 4 started off with a bang! Well, literally it was more of a clickity, clickity, clickity through T2 and T3 progressing to a thumpity, thumpity, thumpity in T7/T8 by the time I figured out it was a mechanical problem and not a loose zip tie or something. It was the last session of Friday practice and I found myself pushing Hasi back to the pits from Turn 9 with what I now realized was a fatal engine problem.

Quatrième rendez vous du championnat de france superbike, Ledenon 12 et 13 Juin

C'est sur le circuit de Ledenon, où avait eu lieu l'ouverture de ce championnat en avril dernier, que nous tous, pilotes du fsbk, nous retrouvons pour ce quatrième week-end de course de cette saison 2010.
Tout juste une semaine avant de partir pour Ledenon, j'ai su que je pouvais rouler; car en effet, deux choses aurait pu m'empêcher de participer à cette course, premièrement le budget qui est assez limité et deuxièmement ma blessure au genou. Puisqu'aprés avoir roulé avec une entorse et être tombée dessus dans la seconde manche au Vigeant, celle-ci s'est transformée en épanchement intra-articulaire (liquide dans le genou se résorbant au fil du temps et qui empêche le bon fonctionnnement de l'articulation). Mon genou était donc douloureux et enflé, je ne pouvais pas le plier correctement, mais j'avais l'autorisation des médecins.

The first stage of the Russian MR Cup took place on the track in Mjachkovo. It can't be considered very successful for the team "Yakhnich Motorsport". As the busy schedules of training in Russia and racing in Italy coincided the situation was such that the pilots had very little time to adjust their new bikes and get adapted to the features of this rather specific track in Mjachkovo.

Gleich eine Woche nach dem Rennen auf dem Harzring ging es in die Heide nach Faßberg. Bei bestem Wetter konnten wir am Freitag schon mal trainieren. Ich war hier schon minimal schneller als im Vorjahr und hatte mir für die Renntage viel vorgenommen.

Am 11. Juni trafen wir in Faßberg ein, mitten in einem Fliegerhorst der Bundeswehr. Trainiert und gestartet wurde im Wechsel mit Kartfahrern. Am Freitag konnten wir noch ein wenig im Trockenen trainieren.

Tiende plaats voor Tasia op Assen

Na twee stratencircuits met goede resultaten en een leerzaam weekend in Duitsland (IDM Nurburgring) kon Tasia in dit weekend weer op het "thuis" circuit Assen laten zien dat de concurrentie rekening met haar moet houden. Voor het ONK stond een race over 12 ronden in de 125cc klasse op het programma. Tasia behaalde een fel bevochten tiende plaats.

Racing Road America

Last week we did the second leg of TTXGP, racing in Road America. I flew in from San Francisco, while the bike was transported by Electric Motorsports. The Funhauler seized a couple of brake calipers in Reno, so the trip got delayed and the bikes (there were four competitors on the trailer) didn't arrive until Friday afternoon! Half the paddock was sitting in the pits wondering if the bikes were coming in for the last practice that day!

La prima stagione da piloti è molto impegnativa da un punto di vista psicologico con una grande voglia di emergere e far bene soprattutto nelle piste che si conoscono meglio.

Rennen 5 und 6 in Aschersleben am 05. Juni 2010

Durch gute Aussichten auf schönes Wetter sah ich dem 5. und 6. Rennen in Aschersleben mit großer Freude entgegen. Doch unerwartete 25 Grad Temperaturunterschied zum vorherigen Rennen in Oschersleben machte den anstrengenden Sport nicht gerade leichter.

Die drei vergangenen IDM Rennwochenenden waren für mich ja nicht sehr erfolgreich. Zufrieden kann man mit den Ergebnissen ja nicht wirklich sein.

Aber ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich die Supersport Klasse wohl auch etwas unterschätzt habe.

Formula Xtreme Championship - Round 2 - Winton Raceway - VIC - June 2010

Talk about freezing cold! Although the sun was shining for the three days at Winton Raceway the temperature was very cold and it made me realise that tyre warmers serve more of a purpose than just heating rubber - they are used to defrost hands and feet.

I had only ridden at Winton once before and not on my R6 so I knew there was going to be a challenge ahead.

Summit Point with CCS!!

Summit Point!!!! What a wonderful weekend. I was back with my original support - Drew Harbuck (former multi-championship winning WERA Expert) and my friends. Morning practice was a little rough to start. I was having a very difficult time controlling the bike. Drew got with Hemmelsbach from Penske and they made some quick changes. I went out for my next practice and instantly went 2 seconds faster... the bike felt amazing!!

Pechweekend met een mooi einde!

Terwijl bijna iedereen vrijdag al aan het trainen was hebben wij op ons gemakje de bus ingepakt om na de ochtendspits te vertrekken richting Assen. Dit omdat de geluidseis maximaal 98db was, en van de winter hadden we al begrepen van Jan de Boer dat de motor dat niet zou halen. Toen bleek dat er niet heel streng gecontroleerd zou worden was er helaas al een wachtlijst van 20-30 man. Zodoende kwamen we vrijdagmiddag aan op het circuit, we hoefden (gelukkig, het was al erg vol) geen plekje op de paddock te zoeken want samen met de rest van het team hadden we een pitbox!

Round 3 - Spokane County Motorsports Park

The weekend started with Jon Friesen treating the race team to a stay at the luxury hotel/casino down the street from Spokane County Motorsports Park - this was no Motel 6! Thanks Jon! We felt like rock stars!

On Friday, we headed out to the track for Mike Sullivan's open track day. I spent most of my time trying to figure out what gear to be in for each corner since I was running the R6 as a five-speed this year. When it came time to work on creating a new fuel map for the VP MR9 fuel, I discovered that my computer would no longer communicate with the bike through the Bazzaz software.

Première manche de la série National Parts Canada et deuxième manche du DFC.

Wow qu'elle fin de semaine encore une fois! Deuxième victoire de suite dans le DFC croisant la ligne d'arrivée avec une avance de 6.6 secondes de la deuxième compétitrice.

First round of the Parts Canada National Series and second round of the Women's Cup Challenge.

Wow what a weekend once again! Second win in a row in the WCC crossing the finish line 6.6 seconds ahead of second place.

Wenn das Vertrauen fehlt

Technisches Pech in der Lausitz, durch fehlendes Vertrauen in das Material und schlimme Abflüge in Oschersleben kam das Desaster am Nürburgring. Jeder konnte am Nürburgring sehen, dass ich zur Zeit nicht in der Lage bin, ein Motorrad am Limit zu bewegen. Die neue Seel sollte mir zum Erfolg verhelfen, aber das Gegenteil ist eingetreten.
