21.-22.6.2008 - JJJ Racing o.p.s.

Na okruhu ve východoněmeckém Sachsenringu měl Team Suzuki Mayer jen jednoho zástupce a to Markétu Janákovou.

V pátečních volných trénincích jsme jako vždy hlavně ladili a potřebovala jsem najet co nejvíce kilometrů. Trať je velice složitá má jen krátkou cílovou rovinku a jinak samé zatáčky, většinou docela pomalé a hlavně jiné tím, že většinou se jedná o velké převýšení nebo zatáčka přes horizont, kde jezdec nevidí na výjezd. Na této trati jsem jela už párkrát. Mám ji ráda je opravdu záludná, ale pěkná a i divácky velice zajímavá. To byl možná jeden z důvodů, (kromě účasti Schumachera) proč v neděli byla divácká kulisa přes dvacetdva tisíc diváků.

V 1. kvalifikačním tréninku jsem se zrychlila oproti pátku o vteřinu což bylo dobré, ale nestačilo to na lepší pozici než 28. V tu chvíli jsem ztrácela něco přes 4 sekundy na prvního. Žádné problémy by nebyli, protože motorka byla opět perfektně připravená, nebýt nových směsí pneumatik, které se ukázali jako cesta ne úplně správným směrem. Nedalo se s tím nic děla t a do druhé kvalifikace jsem bojovala s tím co bylo. Zrychlila jsem opět o necelou vteřinu a tak jsem se posunula na místo 26. se ztrátou na prvního už jen 3,6 sekundy. Kvalifikace se i přesto docela podařila. Kdyby v neděli byl dobrý start a ještě by se povedlo dobře první kolo, mohla bych být do dvacítky a se štěstím by třeba šlo i o body.

Do závodu jsme museli dát pneumatiku, která nedržela tak jako měkká guma v kvalifikaci, ale měla by vydržet celý závod pořád ve stejným stavu. Před závodem jsem měla trochu respekt z té gumy, protože jsem ji ještě moc nevyzkoušela. Počasí bylo opravdu letní a 35 stupňové teplo rozhodně v kombinéze a přilbě nikoho nenadchlo. Byla to veliká zátěž na fyzičku jezdců. Start do závodu z 26. místa se mi opravdu povedl. Měla jsem veliké štěstí při kolizi asi 7 jezdců v první zatáčce. Našla jsem skulinku mezi dvěmi ležícími motocykly a projela jsem. V kolizi uvízlo hodně jezdců aniž by upadli a tak se dalo čekat, že nás budou rychlejší jezdci dojíždět. Mezi těmito jezdci byli i naši Ondra Ježek a Michal Filla. Prvním kolem jsem projela jako 17. to bylo to co jsme si plánovali. Byla jsem v tu chvíli ve skupině asi 4 jezdců. Snažila jsem se bojovat, ale snaha byla marná a já začala okamžitě ztrácet. Do toho nás dojeli oni rychlejší jezdci a já se propadala.Časy jsem nemohla jet jako v kvalifikaci kvůli pneumatice a postupně jsem se dostala až na místo 21. byl to letos můj druhý nejlepší výsledek.

Příští závod je v Rakousku na Salzburgringu, je to skoro přírodní okruh s nádhernou přírodou kolem. Snad se tam už zadaří.

3. Platz für Pit und wieder Punkte für mich am Sachsenring

Ein sehr durchwachsenes Wochenende erwartete mich zum 4. IDM-Lauf am Sachsenring.

Der Sachsenring ist ein sehr schöner aber anspruchsvoller Kurs und ich habe hier schon sehr schöne Momente erlebt. Leider konnte ich das im Freitagstraining nicht unter Beweis stellen.

Der keinesfalls zufriedenstellende Trainingsverlauf vom Freitag setzte sich am Samstag fort. Ich habe einfach keinen Fluß beim Fahren gefunden. Die Harmonie zwischen Motorrad und mir wollte sich einfach nicht einstellen. Ein 26. Startplatz verdeutlichte genau das.

Nach der ersten Frustration habe ich mich noch einmal intensiv mit der Strecke und mir auseinandergesetzt. Im Warm up hat sich alles schon besser angefühlt. Auch bei den Anderen läuft nicht immer alles optimal und so war ich gewillt, das Beste aus meinem Startplatz zu machen. Zusätzliche Motivation und Kraft habe ich aus dem 3. Platz von Pit geschöpft. Glückwunsch ! Er ist ein fantastisches Rennen gefahren und ich habe mich total für ihn gefreut. Zum fachlichen Austausch ist es leider nicht gekommen, weil er den 3. Platz erst selber verdauen mußte.

Obwohl ich beim Starten Probleme hatte, bin ich schon als 18. aus der ersten Runde gekommen. Es war ein schwieriges Stück Arbeit. Aber zum Schluß wurde ich als 12. abgewunken und es gab 5 Punkte für den 11. Platz, weil ein Gaststarter rausfällt. Dieses Wochenende hat mir gezeigt, dass noch viel Arbeit vor mir liegt. Aber gemeinsam werden wir es schaffen.

Mein Dank gilt meinem Team, meinen Förderern und Sponsoren und ein besonderes Dankeschön an meinen Mechaniker Siggi. Er hört mir immer geduldig zu und steht mir mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.
Ein großes Dankeschön ebenfalls an meine Fans. Euer Anfeuern und Daumendrücken hat mir sehr geholfen.
In zwei Wochen trifft sich die IDM zum 5. Lauf am Salzburgring. Ich freue mich, Euch dort alle wiederzusehen.

Zum Schluß noch etwas in eigener Sache. Sehr oft bekomme ich sehr schöne Fotos, Emails und Briefe. Leider fehlt mir manchmal die Zeit oder die Gelegenheit zu antworten. Ich bemühe mich, nach und nach alle zu beantworten. Sollte ich doch mal eine Antwort vergessen, seid mir bitte nicht böse und schreibt mich einfach noch einmal an.

20.06.-22.06.08 Sachsenring IDM-SSP600
Sachsenring von Startplatz 42 auf Platz 23!

Sarah Heide spulte 18 von 20 Rennrunden gleichmässig innerhalb einer Sekunde ab und kam Stück für Stück nach vorne, während sich Ihre Kollegen gegenseitig eliminierten.

Am Samstag nach dem ersten Zeittraining wurde Sarah klar, hier auf dem Sachsenring passte nichts. Die Strecke ist zwar neu gemacht, jedoch der Belag so aggressiv, dass er die Reifen innerhalb kürzester Zeit auffraß. Für das zweite Training setzte Sarah auf eine andere Mischung vorne und hinten, was sich als falsch herausstellte. Somit rutsche sie vom Startplatz 38 auf Startplatz 42.

Am Sonntag nach dem Warm up zeigte sich schnell, dass es ein heißer Tag werden sollte, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Beim Start wurde ein Asphalttemperatur von 58°C gemessen und eine Lufttemperatur von 34°C. Da an diesem Wochenende nur ein Rennen stattfand, wurde die Distanz von 73 km gefahren. Beim Start wurde Sarah fast noch zu Boden gerissen, da einige ihrer Kollegen zu stürmisch in die erste Kurven einbogen und sich gegenseitig in den Kies schickten. Durch diesen Umstand war der Zug vorne weg und Sarah eilte alleine mit einem Kollegen dem Feld hinterher. Zum Schluss sprang Platz 23 heraus.

Sarah nach dem Rennen: "Das war ein anstrengendes Rennen, die Hitze und der anspruchsvolle Kurs haben mich ganz schon geschafft. Auf der Strecke braucht man viel Kraft, da haben meine männlichen Kollegen deutlich Vorteile, aber ich bin zufrieden, dass ich angekommen bin, nachdem soviele gestürzt und ausgefallen sind, denn unser oberstes Ziel ist ankommen und lernen."

Stefan Laux nach dem Rennen: "Wir liegen voll im Plan, von sieben Rennen siebenmal angekommen und das Gesamtpaket wieder ein Stück verbessert, wir werden uns Stück für Stück nach vorne arbeiten; es bringt nichts, wenn Sarah versucht, mit Gewalt bessere Zeiten zu fahren und dadurch sich im höheren Sturzrisiko aufhält, es dauert seine Zeit vorne sicher mitzufahren, und die Zeit wird kommen, da muss man Geduld haben."

Viertes IDM Wochenende Sachsenring 20. - 22. Juni 2008

Die Wettervorhersagen waren wieder mal nicht so prickelnd, es war wechselhaftes Wetter angesagt…
Am Freitag morgen mussten wir uns dann auch schon wieder mit nassen Bedingungen rumschlagen. Wir hatten aber erfreulicherweise nur das erste Freie Training im nassen, die anderen 2 Freitagstrainings waren trocken. Ich konnte sehr viel ausprobieren und ich war mit der Abstimmung des Motorrades schon sehr zufrieden.
Der Samstag und das Qalli konnte also kommen…

Mit fast identischen Bedingungen ging es dann ins erste Zeittraining.  Leider musste ich gleich nach der ersten Runde an die Box fahren - die Kupplung trennte nicht richtig! Doch mit ein paar Handgriffen vom Chef persönlich ( Michael Galinski) konnte ich mein Zeittraining doch noch in Angriff nehmen. Platz 14. direkt hinter Michael Schumacher!!! Auch nicht schlecht der Michael… er lernt verdammt schnell.

Zweites Zeittraining, noch mal angreifen. Ich bin zuerst mit den alten Reifen vom ersten Training raus um mich etwas einzurollen. Nach ein paar Runden habe ich mir einen neuen Hinterreifen abgeholt und probiert noch ein paar zehntel rauszuholen… Was mir dann auch gelungen ist - 1.26.9 min. - und Platz 12 waren das Ergebnis. Nicht zu vergessen Schumi stand jetzt auf Platz 16., er hatte sich nicht mehr verbessert.

Sonntagmorgen strahlender Sonnenschein und Warm up um 8 Uhr - wie unmenschlich! Nochmal das Bike Checken, ob alles funktioniert!
Dann kann es ja losgehen, um 11.00 Uhr war dann etwas verspätet der Start. Die Seitenwagen haben ne schöne Ölspur gelegt und die musste erst mal behoben werden. Ich hatte nen guten Start erwischt und hatte mich auf Platz 12 eingereiht. Leider habe ich mich wegen einem blöden Fahrfehler selbst ins Kiesbett katapultiert. Schade… aber aus Fehlern lernt man… hoffentlich.

Zweites Rennen neues Glück. Mein Team hat mir in ca. 3 Stunden ein fertiges Motorrad zusammengebaut - VIELEN DANK. Somit konnte ich wieder starten.
Der Start war ganz ok, doch nach 10 Runden wurde erst mal das Rennen abgebrochen. Werner Deamen hatte sich per High-sider verabschiedet und das Motorrad lag mitten auf der Strecke! Ich lag an 15ter Stelle und so wurde das Rennen auch wieder gestartet. Beim Restart hatte ich leider nicht so ein guten Start, konnte aber den 15 ten Platz ins Ziel fahren und ein Pünktchen kassieren.

Nach dem tollen Zeittraining am Samstag hatte ich mir eigentlich etwas mehr von den Rennen erhofft. Der Sturz hat mich leider etwas nach hinten geworfen… so ist es halt vielleicht wenn man etwas übermotiviert ist.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch an Jörg der beide Rennen gewonnen hat und natürlich auch herzlichen Glückwunsch an Andre der 2 Mal den 11. Platz gemacht hat.

ПРЕСС-РЕЛИЗ "YAKHNICH MOTORSPORT"

Только что завершился 2 этап Чемпионата и Кубка России по шкмг, в котором успешно выступила команда "Yakhnich motorsport".

Официальные результаты класса STK 600 women:
1 место – Наталия Любимова (16 очков)
2 место – Надежда Яхнич (12 очков)
3 место – Татьяна Семенова (9 очков)

После возвращения с Чемпионата Европы спортсменкам удалось провести только две тренировки перед 2 этапом Чемпионата. Кроме того, за столь короткое время не удалось отремонтировать, сломавшийся в Ассене Suzuki, мотоцикл Надежды Яхнич.
В результате, в гонку Надя поехала на мотоцикле Yamaha R6, предоставленным Борисом Герелисом. Это был первый тест нового для Надежды мотоцикла.

Стоит отметить, что уровень чемпионата растет и растет количество участников. Во втором этапе в классе STK 600 было заявлено 34 спортсмена. Наши девушки достойно выглядят в мужской компании, а в женском зачете им нет равных.

По результатам квалификации Наталия занимала 21 место (1:54.240), 26 место Надежда Яхнич (1:55.449).

Хорошую стартовую реакцию показали все девушки данного заезда. Но буквально после первых 3-4 поворотов лидерство оказалось у Море Теловой и Надежды Яхнич. На протяжении трех кругов девушки демонстрировали великолепную борьбу, попеременно обгоняя друг друга. В результате, которой на третьем круге Надежда окончательно обогнала соперницу и ушла в отрыв.
Наталия Любимова провела более ровно первую часть гонки, отвоевывая позиции у мужчин и подбираясь к лидерам женского заезда.
В заезде не обошлось без падений и в течение гонки маршалы поднимали несколько раз желтые флаги. Ритм гонки менялся и после серии желтых флагов Наталия Любимова продолжала набирать темп, улучшая время круг за кругом, а для Надежды желтые флаги уже второй этап работают не в ее пользу. На последних кругах Надя не смогла сохранить сумасшедший ритм начала гонки и пропустила вперед Наталию Любимову.
В итоге из 12 кругов гонки, у Наталии лучшее время - 1:52.701 (на 9 круге), а у Нади - 1:53.859 (на 4 круге) – времена победителей-мужчин класса STK 600 прошлого года.

В командном зачете Кубка России команда Яхнич моторспорт заняла II место (28 очков).

Bernice naar de 3e podiumplaats tijdens EK in Assen!

Dit weekend werd de 2e race verreden van het European Womans Championship, dit keer op het TT-circuit van Assen.

Vrijdagavond waren de weersvoorspellingen nog niet best, de kans op regen was groot dus ik was me stiekem al mentaal aan het voorbereiden op het glibberen en glijden.
Wonder boven wonder scheen de zon toen ik zaterdagochten op stond, de eerste training was om 10.20.
Tijdens de eerste training bleek al snel dat ik wat te enthousiast was met de tandwielverhouding, van achtertandwiel 39 naar 42, dit verschil was overduidelijk merkbaar maar niet in de positieve zin. De motor was veel te snel in zijn 6, en bocht uit was hij erg paniekerig waardoor hij steeds uitbrak van de achterkant, niet fijn dus.
Voor de 1e qualificatie training toch maar een achtertandwiel van 40 erop. Om 14.20 was het dan zover, het weer was nog steeds mooi, tandwielverhouding goed, kortom tijd om te knallen!
Het ging gelijk een stuk beter, de rondetijden daalde van 1.58 naar een 1.55!! Voor mij echt super goed! Alles pakte goed uit, ik kon goed op het gas en de motor voelde vertrouwd aan.
De 2e qualificatie wist ik helaas mijn supertijd van de 1e qualificatie niet meer te verbeteren, maar mijn dag kon al niet meer stuk, ik was allang blij dat ik mijn race-ritme weer terug had en constant 1.56 kon rijden.
Met mijn snelste tijd van 1.55.3 stond ik in de 1000cc vierde getraind en totaal stond ik 11e getraind.

Vlak voor de race was het nog even spannend, het begon ineens te regenen! Ik zag de race al aan mijn neus voorbij gaan. Gelukkig hebben we, Rhett, Robert en ik na kort overleg toch de juiste keus gemaakt om toch droogweer banden erop te houden. Toen we de pits uitreden was het gelukkig al redelijk opgedroog!
De start ging super goed, de eerste bocht kwam ik ook goed door! Nu moest ik mij vast bijten in Lara Cardioli (stond voor mij getraind), ze liep een klein beetje bij me weg. Maar na de 2e ronde kwam ik alweer dichterbij. Helaas verremde ik me in de Haarbocht waardoor ik wat tijd verloor. Gelukkig had ik een groot gat achter me, dus kon ik zo weer de baan op. Na wat spetters achterop het circuit, zag ik na 11 ronden de finish-vlag.
Tot mijn verbazing ben ik 3e geworden in de 1000cc klasse!!! Ik was helemaal overdonderd, wauw daar stond ik dan op het podium, SUPER!
Ik wil graag mijn sponsoren bedanken, mijn monteur (Robert), en mijn pa voor het klaarmaken van mijn motor!!
Zonder jullie had ik dit niet gered, BEDANKT!!!

Europeo: Lara centra il podio di Assen

Si è svolta nel circuito olandese di Assen la seconda prova dell’European Women’s Cup, campionato riconosciuto UEM che vede cimentarsi in gara le centaure di tutta Europa e che per quest’occasione si è svolto in concomitanza con il rinomato Campionato tedesco Supersport e Superbike. A portare i colori italiani ci ha pensato la Scuderia Carpi Racing, che ha schierato nella Superstock1000 la varesina MV Agusta F4 guidata dalla mantovana Lara Cordioli.

Reduce dalla positiva esperienza della Sound of Thunder International, la pilota non ha esitato a mettere in pratica gli insegnamenti acquisiti e ben presto ha conquistato, durante le qualificazioni, il secondo tempo di categoria. Una buona base di partenza che le ha confermato, al termine degli 11 giri di gara, il secondo gradino del podio alle spalle della velocissima tedesca Nina Prinz e davanti all’olandese Bernice Sangers.  Lara ha poi commentato “La pioggia della scorsa gara mi aveva lasciato un po’ di amaro in bocca e non vedevo l’ora di poter tornare su questa pista per regolare i conti in sospeso. Fortunatamente il tempo ci ha graziato e tutto si è svolto nel migliore dei modi. Più che per soddisfazione personale, sono felice di aver potuto regalare il podio alla mia squadra che tanto si è impegnata fino a questo momento”.  Grazie ai punti conquistati in questo round, la pilota mantovana sale anche al secondo posto in classifica assoluta e si prepara al gran finale del 12 Ottobre nella pista spagnola di Albacete.

Verslag MCA Speed challenge/EWC Assen

[...] Iris ten Katen had een zeer belangrijke wedstrijd voor het Europees kampioenschap voor vrouwen op het programma staan, een race die ze helaas net niet kon winnen en waarin ze de Tsjechische Marketa Janakova voor moest laten gaan. 

Beide Duntep rijders hadden op de trainingsdag al hun beste beentje voor gezet want Voskamp realiseerde de snelste tijd in de Supersport klasse en mocht in de Superbike klasse vanaf de tweede rij vertrekken vanwege een mooie achtste tijd. Ten Katen stond achter de al genoemde Janakova als tweede geklasseerd terwijl ze in de ONK Supersport categorie als achtste stond vermeld.

Waar ze in de eerste race om het Europees kampioenschap in het Italiaanse Misano nog weinig moeite had met de concurrentie en met overmacht de zege pakte liet de race op haar thuisbaan een ander beeld zien. Ze beet zich vast in het achterwiel van de Tsjechische maar wat ze ook probeerde, ze kwam er niet voorbij. De tweede plaats maakt dat ze nu samen met Janakova de leiding deelt in het kampioenschap en dat de laatste race in oktober in het Spaanse Albacete de doorslag moet geven.

Ze reed tevens een race in het ONK Supersport waar ze dus prima kwalificeerde na enkele mindere races. Ze kwam na een redelijke start terecht in een groepje wat streed om de plaatsen net buiten de top tien. Ondanks enkele problemen onderweg streed ze toch door en behaalde tenslotte een 15e plaats en toch weer een punt voor het kampioenschap.

De revalidatie van Joan Veijer verloopt voorspoedig. Er zijn inmiddels twee trainingsdagen gepland in het Duitse Oschersleben alweer Veijer en Iris ten Katen eind Juli gaan testen. [...] Het team gaat nu eerst van een welkome vakantie genieten en zal het eerste weekend van Augustus weer present zijn in Assen tijdens de Rizla Racing Days.

McAleer best race this season

Following on from her brief test session at Mallory Park on Wednesday, Nicole McAleer and her SP125 Racing team noticed that her 125 Honda frame was bent, possibly due to her big off at Donington Park during qualifying. On discovering this problem the teenager was forced to change to a new frame and during the free practice sessions and the first qualifying session struggled with the feel of the new frame. She said; “it doesn’t feel like my bike!”

However after the final qualifying session on Saturday were she was happy enough to qualify in 24th on the grid, as she was feeling much more comfortable with her machinery at this stage and having gone more than a second quicker during the final session, she knew she would be able to improve during the race on Sunday.

After a first corner pile up at Riches which saw four riders go down, including McAleer’s only other female competition Cat Green, the Omagh teenager who along with Taboo Motorsport’s Michael Hill and Astro’s Shaun Winfield, got off to a good start, but the first corner melee, cost them some time. The trio were pushed back down the field, but soon recovered and continued with their own private battle throughout the race, were McAleer and Winfield both got the better of the more experienced Hill, with McAleer taking 19th place overall and 8th in the Cup battle.

McAleer said afterwards; “That was a brilliant race, I had so much fun out there today.” She has now moved up in the Cup battle to 5th place were her SP125 Racing team mate Matt Hoyle still leads despite a DNF at Snetterton.

McAleer’s next race meeting will be at Mallory Park on the 29th June, were it will be a double header, with the cancelled Donington Park round of the Championship being rescheduled to run at Mallory. Az elismerésre méltó negyedik helyen végzett Niki a Női Európa Bajnokság második fordulóján, Assenben.

Két hét múlva már a MotoGP sztárjai veszik birtokukba a holland pályát, ahol most még a hölgyek rótták a köröket.

A mindösszesen két napos versenyhétvége alatt az égiek ismét megkegyelmeztek az EB résztvevőinek. Vasárnap többször is zivatar áztatta a pályát, sőt a verseny közben is szemerkélt, de alapvetően száraz pályán zajlott a küzdelem.

Niki, aki első évét tölti ebben a kategóriában, egész hétvégén stabil teljesítményt nyújtott. Már fél nap motorozás után tudta hozni azt az időt, ami a hatszázasok között az első sorból való indulást jelentette. Ám ahogy mindig, most is együtt futott az ezres és a hatszázas kategória, így Niki végül a második sor első rajtkockájából várta a versenyt. Egyedül Nina Prinz tudott jobb időt menni ezres motorjával, aki most is a hétvége leggyorsabbja volt.

A "kisebbik" géposztálynál maradva, egy jó rajtot követően lánykánk végig tartotta pozícióját. A harmadik helyért folyó éles küzdelemben, a táv felénél Niki belátta, hogy kimotorozta motorjából a maximumot, és utána már csak arra koncentrált, hogy az értékes 13 pontot mindenképp elhozza.
A verseny során így is közel másfél másodpercet javított a köridején.

Versenyzőnk így összegezte a történteket: "Nagyon örülök a negyedik helynek, még akkor is, ha titkon a dobogóról álmodtam, amire a teljesítményemet elnézve meg is volt az esély. A hatodik kör után azonban már láttam, hogy a motorok közti különbségek körről körre összeadódnak, és nincs értelme kockáztatni. Ráadásul a mögöttem jövő versenyzők jócskán lemaradtak (a hetedik helyezett már körhátrányban ért célba), így nyugodtan elkezdhettem spórolni a gumival és a motorral is, hogy a negyedik helyet semmi se veszélyeztesse.
Látva az igyekezetemet a csapat ezen a hétvégén is mindent megtett, azért, hogy a létező legtöbbet hozzuk ki a lehetőségeinkből (külön köszönet Horváth "Horimoto" Lacinak).
A hétvége egyik tanulsága az volt, hogy a szabályok engedte változtatásokat mindenképp végre kell hajtani a motoron. A Yamaha által gyártott tuning alkatrészek beépítése elengedhetetlen a dobogóhoz, de ezek közel három millió forintba kerülnek. Közben sajnos még az is gondot okoz, hogy az EB-n kívül más versenyekre is eljussak.
Remélem, Magyarországon is felismerik a cégek a lehetőséget, ami egy nemzetközileg is elismert, eredményes női motorversenyzőben rejlik, és találok egy olyan támogatót, aki segít átbillenteni ezen a holtponton a csapatot és anyagilag is mellénk áll, hogy megmutathassuk végre mire is vagyunk képesek valójában."

Niki ezzel az eredménnyel, az összetettben is feljött a negyedik helyre. Az utolsó fordulót október 11-12-én rendezik a spanyolországi Albaceteben, ahol még bármi megtörténhet. Addig is kemény edzések várnak még versenyzőnkre, hogy minél jobb formában utazzon a döntő futam helyszínére.

Lucys erster EM-Lauf im kroatischen Rijeka begann vielversprechend. Im freien Training landete die Krumhermersdorferin mit ihrer 250ccm Maschine auf einem guten 8. Platz. Im Qualifying konnte Lucy ihre Form bestätigen und einen guten 9. Startplatz herausfahren. Im Rennen hingegen stürzte Lucy und musste das Rennen vorzeitig abbrechen.

14.-15.6. 2008 - Assen

Druhý ze tří pořádaných závodu Mistrovství Evropy žen, tedy Women’s European Championship, se jel o víkendu v holandském Assenu. V Misanu jsem dojela druhá, což teď znamenalo, že musím vyhrát, jestli se chci ucházet o titul. Jenže Iris Ten Katen je doma a trať má najetou. To mě samozřejmě stavělo do horší pozice. Kdybych dojela druhá za Iris znamenalo by to, že by jí v posledním závodě stačilo jen 15 bodů k zisku titulu. To jsem nemohla dopustit a byla jsem odhodlaná napravit chybu z italského závodu.

V sobotu jsme nastoupili do volného a dvou měřených tréninků. Počasí nám přálo a i přesto, že v Assenu velice často prší, počasí vydrželo. Ve volném tréninku jsem se rozjížděla, trať už znám a Assen patří k tratím, které mám ráda, tak jsme hlavně potřebovali vyladit nastavení motorky. První kvalifikace mi sedla. Byla jsem kolo co kolo o půl sekundy rychlejší. Museli jsme proto ještě přitvrdit přední tlumiče. Celou kvalifikaci jsem vedla v kategorii Superstock 600. S časem 1:46.4 jsem byla o 1,2 sec. Před druhou Iris Ten Katen tedy domácí závodnicí. To mi samozřejmě přidalo hodně na sebevědomí. Přede mnou už byla jen Nina Prinz na litru. Druhá kvalifikace nepřinesla nic moc nového v pořadí. Iris velkou snahou dokázala svuj čas zrychlit na 1:47:2. Jenže v závěru kvalifikce měla lehký pád, který nikomu nepřidá. Já jsem svůj čas z první kvalifikace nezrychlila, ale celý trénink jsem zkoušela lépe odřazovat a dál brzdit. Většinou jsem byla pomalejší, protože ne pokaždé jsem úplně trefila zatáčku, ale neměla jsem žádný stres a kluci mi z boxu signalizovali, že můj čas je zatím neohrožen.

V neděli na závod jsem byla o moc klidnější. Plán byl dobře odstartovat odjet Ninou a ujet popřípadě si v klidu hlídat pozici. Start jsem měla snad jako nikdy. Hned na startu jsem vydělala několik metrů na Iris Ten Katen, ale neodjela jsem a tak jsem si držela první pozici. Iris byla hned na mě a já o tom věděla. Jednou využila situace, protože já si držela vnitřní stopu, která není zase tak rychlá a předjela mě, ale já jsem ji to hned vrátila po dlouhé rovince na brzdy. Pak už jsem byla kolo co kolo klidnější. Nebyl žádný náznak, že by šla na předjíždění a tak jsem vůbec nedělala chyby. Při předjíždění o kolo jsem získala pár metrů k dobru a do cíle jsem dojela s náskokem půl vteřiny na druhou Iris Ten Katen a třetí Tinou Katrasnik. Jak říkal jeden slavný závodník: „Jela jsem jen tak abych vyhrála.“ Už je to dlouho co jsem stála na nejvyšším stupínku, slyšela českou hymnu hranou pro mě. Krásný pocit.

Další závod se jede až 12.října ve Španělsku na okruhu Albacete. Trať neznám, ale bude to rozhodující závod, kde se ukáže kdo bude Mistryní Evropy.

Am vergangenen Wochenende haben sich in Misano wieder einiges Cups ein Stelldichein gegeben. Ladies waren dabei in der Kawasaki 600 Ninja Trophy, in der Mototemporada 125 SP, bei den Supertwins und mit einer Gaststarterin im Trofeo Italiano Amatori vertreten.

In der Kawasaki Ninja 600 Trophy fehlte aufgrund ihres Engagements im EWC zwar die bisher schnellste Starterin Sharon Mermet, aber dadurch verblieben immer noch vier Ladies unter den insgesamt 60 TeilnehmerInnen. Mary Zanella war in den Zeittrainings die Schnellste des Quartetts (1'53.386), konnte sich aber dennoch nur fürs B-Finale qualifizieren. Milena Milani erreichte eine 1'54.637, Silvia Carletto eine 1'57.160 und Marialuisa Toniato eine 1'58.172. Die schnellste Zeit im Feld, 1'44.727, kam übrigens von Roberto Antonello. So bestritt die gesamte Damen-Riege die sogenannte "Finalina", die sie von den Startplätzen 7, 15, 19 und 23 in Angriff nahm.

Nach den 10 Rennrunden konnte sich Mary Zanella über Platz 3 und die schnellste Rennrunde dieses Laufs freuen - 1'50.285. Vor ihr landeten lediglich Fellegara und Di Gangi. Milena Milani erreichte den 10. Rang und eine Bestzeit von 1'52.139; Marialuisa Toniato wurde 17. mit deutlicher Steigerung in der Rundenzeit - 1'53.239; Silvia Carletto konnte das Rennen nicht beenden. Sie klagte bereits nach den bisherigen zwei Läufen über Probleme mit ihrer rechten Hand und versprach einen baldigen Bericht vom Wochenende in Misano. Der A-Lauf ging an Antonello vor Zerbo und Emili; schnellste Runde: Zerbo, 1'44.655.

Lediglich das erste Quali der Supertwins bestritt die routinierte Alice Betti auf ihrer Bimota DB5. Mit der daraus resultierenden 1'56.203 erzielte sie den 17. Startplatz. Pole: Pedersoli, 1'48.053. Im Rennen verbesserte sich Betti auf 1'53.912 und den 13. Platz. Es gewann Segoni vor Ceccaroni und Bulai; schnellste Runde: Pedersoli, 1'47.859.

Auf ähnlichem Niveau und vergleichbarem Gefährt wie Zanella bewegte sich eine weitere Rookie aus dem heurigen Campionato Italiano Motocicliste, Alessia Falzoni auf Yamaha YZF R6 im Trofeo Italiano Amatori. Sie hatte sich für ihren Gaststart in diesem Cup die Klasse '600 BASE' ausgesucht im Gegensatz zur '600 PRO'. In den Zeittrainings setzte sie sich auf die Ränge 21 bzw. 31 (zweites Quali verbockt), was ihr mit einer 1'53.068 in Summe den 23. Startplatz unter 40 Konkurrenten einbrachte. Polesetter war Matteo Andreucci mit 1'47.415. Im Rennen verbesserte sich Falzoni auf Platz 13 und eine schnellste Runde von 1'50.810. Es gewann Andreucci vor Greco und Sereni; schnellste Runde: Andreucci, 1'47.411.

Im Lauf der Mototemporada 125 Sport, für gewöhnlich auf Aprilia RS 125 bestritten, trafen sich Phaedra Theffo, Giulia Atzori und Alexandra Ferigo. Theffo erreichte die beste Qualizeit, eine 2'08.923, die sie auf den 35. Startplatz brachte. Die jüngere Atzori war mit 2'09.298 dicht dran und 38. in der Startaufstellung. Ferigo, sonst gelegentlich im Alpe Adria Championship unterwegs, fuhr in allen Trainings hinterher und qualifizierte sich nicht für das Rennen. Polesetter war Christian Zaganelli mit 1'57.503; im Rennen wurde er übrigens disqualifiziert. Atzori beendete das Rennen auf dem 24. Platz (2'06.498), während Theffo nach nur zwei Runden ausschied. Es gewann Tonucci vor M. Gabrielli und T. Gabrielli; schnellste Runde: Parziani, 1'57.437.

 

Jenny Tinmouth (Honda), die einzige Frau im British Supersport Cup, macht Fortschritte. Am vergangenen Wochenende erreichte sie mit einer 1'10.098 den 33. Startplatz (Supersport Cup und Championship gemeinsam gerechnet); Pole: Glen Richards, 1'07.707. Im Rennen blieb sie mit einer 1'10.116 dicht an der Bestzeit aus den Trainings und belegte den 25. Rang (Cup & Championship). Es gewann Plater vor Richards und Westmoreland; schnellste Runde: Westmoreland, 1'08.172. 

In der Klasse 125 GP matchten sich erneut zwei Ladies um den Titel der schnellsten Frau im Feld und um die Aussicht auf einen guten Startplatz oder einen Punkterang. Vom Warm-Up abgesehen, behauptete sich Catherine Green (Honda) in allen Trainings als die schnellere der beiden, wenn sich auch Nicole McAleer (Honda) teilweise nur einen Platz hinter ihr einreihte. Mit 1'16.609 (Green) bzw. 1'16.852 (McAleer) ging es von den Rängen 21 und 24 ins Rennen. Matthew Hoyle, aus dem MotoGP Nachwuchs Cup 2007 bekannt, beherrschte fast alle Trainings und stand mit 1'13.430 auf der Pole. McAleer beendete das Rennen auf dem 19. Platz, verbesserte ihre Rundenzeit dabei nicht: 1'17.312. Green schied leider bereits in der ersten Runde aus. Es gewann Jordan vor Glossop und Horsman und Hayward ex aequo; schnellste Runde: Jordan, 1'14.008.

 

Magalï Langlois (Yamaha) bleibt die einzige Lady in den Superbike-Rennen des Championnat de France. Sie erkämpfte sich an diesem Wochenende in Lédenon mit 1'28.768 den 25. Startplatz. Pole: Julien Millet, 1'23.599. Lauf 1 konnte Langlois nicht beenden, in Lauf 2 fuhr sie auf den 24. Rang; beste Rundenzeit: 1'29.647. Lauf 1: De Carolis vor Dietrich und Nigon; schnellste Runde: De Carolis, 1'23.693. Lauf 2: Da Costa vor Nigon und Dietrich; schnellste Runde: Da Costa, 1'23.331.

Gleichfalls einsam streitet ihre Teamkollegin Carole Gonçalvès (Yamaha) in der Klasse Junior 600. Sie qualifizierte sich mit einer Zeit von 1'31.938 für den 22. Startplatz. Pole: Etienne Masson, 1'26.205. In der Junior 600 wird nur ein Wertungslauf pro Wochenende bestritten, Gonçalvès beschloss diesen auf dem 16. Rang. Zu den Rundenzeiten kann aufgrund eines gesplitteten Rennens leider keine Aussage gemacht werden. Es gewann Masson vor Buisson und Loiseau.

Ornella Ongaro (Honda) mischte in der 125er-Meisterschaft wieder auf den vorderen Plätzen mit. Sie erzielte in den Zeittrainings den 6. und den 5. Rang und sicherte sich mit der 1'30.459 aus dem zweiten Quali den fünften Startplatz. Fanny Pechoux (Honda) kam da nicht ganz mit und qualifizierte sich nicht für das Rennen. Pole: Clement Dunikowski, 1'28.776. Im Rennen schrammte Ongaro am Podium vorbei, wobei die Distanzen deutlich waren. Sie erlangte also den vierten Platz und fuhr dabei noch eine 1'30.564. Es gewann Dunikowski vor Debise und Le Coquen; schnellste Runde: Dunikowski, 1'28.634 (übrigens die einzige Aprilia im Feld).

Zwei Starterinnen gab es mit Christelle Orsi (Ducati) und Agnes Dupuy (Buell) auch wieder in der Klasse Top Twin. Bei Orsi reichte es mit 1'34.322 für den 16. Startplatz, bei Dupuy mit 1'38.781 für den 31. Pole: Louis Bulle, 1'27.838. In Lauf 1 belegte Orsi den 14. Platz (1'34.567) und Dupuy den 26. (1'37.524). In Lauf 2 steigerte sie sich auf 1'36.134 und den 23. Platz, während Orsi sich, etwas langsamer als im ersten Lauf - 1'35.457 - dieses Mal mit Rang 18 außerhalb der Punkte bescheiden musste. Allerdings gibt es in dieser Klasse unterschiedliche Wertungen, in denen Orsi immer sehr gut aussieht. Die hier publizierten Platzierungen beziehen sich hingegen immer auf das gesamte Startfeld, in dem Orsi mit ihrer Hypermotard gegen etliche Ducati Superbikes kämpft. Lauf 1: Donischal vor Bulle und Destoop; schnellste Runde: Donischal, 1'27.839. Lauf 2: Bulle vor Donischal und Molinier; schnellste Runde: Bulle, 1'27.463.

 

Im Open Nederlands Kampioenschap ging am vergangenen Wochenende bereits der siebte Wertungslauf über die Bühne, und die fleißige Iris ten Katen zeigte sich trotz der Doppelbelastung durch das EWC auch hier in der Supersport-Klasse wieder konkurrenzfähig. Mit einer 1'47.335 aus dem zweiten Quali ging sie als achte ins Rennen; die Pole wurde von Stuart Voskamp gesetzt (1'45.791). Den Startplatz konnte ten Katen nicht bis ins Ziel behaupten, verbesserte aber ihre Rundenzeit auf 1'46.989 und fuhr als 15. erneut in die Punkteränge. Es gewann Voskamp vor Ahnendorp und van der Marel; schnellste Runde: Voskamp, 1'45.205.

Noch keine Ergebnisse gibt es von der KTM Super Duke Battle, die auch in Assen gastierte.

Auf die Detailergebnisse des European Women's Championship und die Berichte der Teilnehmerinnen wird ebenfalls noch gewartet.

 

Команда Yakhnich motorsport в этот week-end принимает участие во втором этапе Чемпионата Европы по шкмг среди женщин. Этап проходит в Голландии, на треке Ассен, на котором через две недели пройдет этап MotoGP. 20 участниц из Германии, Голландии, Италии, Словении, Польши, Великобритании и России заявились на второй этап.

Сегодня прошли квалификационные заезды. Погода улыбалась нашим девчонкам, хотя обе спортсменки готовы к дождю, после первого этапа Чемпионата России и тренировок на треке Валлнлунга (Италия), которые прошли неделей раньше.
Большим подспорьем были тренировки в Ассене на прошедшей неделе. Девушки смогли познакомиться с треком, настроить и подготовить мотоциклы.

В субботу, на утренней разминке Наталия и Надежда сразу показали хорошее время. К квалификации были готовы. В первом заезде Наталия смогла улучшить время на три секунды. Надя с первого же круга обеспечила себе позицию на стартовой решетке и данная тактика была верна, так как дальше возникли серьезные проблемы с мотоциклом, в результате которых Надя не смогла принять участие во втором квалификационном заезде. Весь технический состав и директор команды в течение нескольких часов искали решение проблемы. Нужен был новый двигатель. Проблема решена. Мотоциклы стоят в боксе и все готово к гонке!

Надо отметить, что наши девчонки заметно прибавили, что отметили другие спортсменки и организаторы чемпионата.

2nd RACE - ASSEN, Nederlands - June, 15th 2008

Second round for the EUROPEAN WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP, the Female European Championship organized by UEM (European Motorcycling Union)

Race goes to NINA PRINZ (Superstock 1000) and MARKETA JANACOVA (Superstock 600)

The second European Women's Championship race took place in Assen (Netherlands) during a fairly sunny weekend. The race was dominated by Nina Prinz (Germany) and Marketa Janacova (Czech Republic), who got both the pole position and the best times in their classes.

Nina, as usual, was competing practically against herself, setting a record time for the women category (1.44.2 on Saturday, during practice) and with no real competition in this Championship.

The 600 class result was much less predictable, with a riveting battle between Janacova and Iris Ten Katen (Netherlands, who was the 600cc champion in 2007). The Dutch rider tailed closely her opponent, showing her resolve not to concede the race on her home ground. Despite this, the Czech rider never lowered her guard and managed to finish the race with a 4 seconds lead. Third place went to the young Tina Katrasnik, from Slovenia.

In the 1000 class, a gearbox failure forced Susie Grayson (UK) to quit after the third lap, despite reaching the second best time thanks to an excellent start. This gave Lara Cordioli (Italy, on an MV Agusta F4) the chance to gain the second place on the podium, right after Nina Prinz and before Bernice Sangers (Netherlands, riding a Ducati 848).

Very good results both for Nikolett Kovacs (Hungary) and Sharon Mermet (Italy), respectively fourth and fifth in the 600 class, and registering their best racing times at 1,50 - right after Katrasnik's time. Monika Jaworska quit during the ninth lap, leaving the sixth place to Deb Cartwright (UK). This race proved a good start for the rookies to the European championship: Liesbet Tolman and Priscylla Beentjes from Netherlands, Peggy Appelmans (Belgian, but with Dutch license), Nikoline Gregersen and Helle Lunden (Denmark), and the Russian riders Nadezda Yakhnich and Natasha Lyubimova.

Janacova and Ten Katen (both with 45 points) lead the 600 class, while Katrasnik defends her third place with a 9 point margin on Kovacs (23) who will have defend her own placement from Mermet, currently at 22.

In the 1000 class the title while mathematically not yet "certain" will probably go to Nina Prinz, who, with her 50 points, has little to fear from Lara Cordioli (33), while Marchetti (who did not compete in Assen) with her 20 points, Grayson and Sangers at 16, can still fight over the third placement.

See you all for the last, and deciding, race on October 12th in Albacete, which will take place during the same weekend of the European Championship in Spain, organized by UEM, Dorna and FGSport.

2^ GARA - ASSEN, Olanda - 15 giugno 2008

Seconda tappa dell'EUROPEAN WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP, il campionato europeo femminile velocità organizzato dall'UEM (European Motorcycling Union).

Vincono NINA PRINZ (Superstock 1000) e MARKETA JANACOVA (Superstock 600)

Due giornate di sole hanno ospitato ad Assen la seconda prova dell'European Women's Championship, che hanno visto protagoniste assolute la tedesca Nina Prinz e la ceca Marketa Janacova, entrambe con pole position e vittoria nella rispettiva categoria.
Gara come sempre in solitaria per Nina, che sabato ha fatto segnare un tempo record per il femminile, con 1.44.2, e che non ha rivali in questo Campionato.

Tra le 600 invece appassionante battaglia fra Janacova e l'olandese Iris Ten Katen, campionessa 2007, che ha tallonato per tutta la gara l'avversaria, dimostrando di non voler cedere fino all'ultimo la vittoria nella gara di casa. Ma la pilota ceca non si è fatta sorprendere ed ha tagliato il traguardo con 4 secondi di vantaggio. Dietro di loro al terzo posto la giovane slovena Tina Katrasnik.

Tra le 1000 invece una rottura al cambio ha costretto l'inglese Susie Grayson al ritiro al terzo giro, proprio mentre - grazie ad un'ottima partenza - aveva conquistato la seconda posizione di categoria. Ne approfitta l'italiana Lara Cordioli con la sua MV Agusta F4, che sale quindi sul podio dietro a Nina Prinz, e davanti alla olandese Bernice Sangers su Ducati 848.

Ottima prova anche per l'ungherese Nikolett Kovacs e l'italiana Sharon Mermet, quarta e quinta delle 600, che fanno segnare il loro miglior tempo in gara a 1.50, vale a dire sul passo della Katrasnik. Ritirata al nono giro la polacca Monika Jaworska mentre era sesta, lasciando così la posizione all'inglese Deb Cartwright. Buon esordio in questo europeo per le olandesi Liesbet Tolman e Priscylla Beentjes, la belga con licenza olandese Peggy Appelmans, le due danesi Nikoline Gregersen e Helle Lunden, le russe Nadezda Yakhnich e Natasha Lyubimova.

Nella classifica generale delle 600 pari punti ora per Janacova e Ten Katen (45), mentre Katrasnik può difendere il suo terzo posto con un margine di 9 punti sulla inseguitrice Kovacs che, a 23 punti in classifica, lotterà per il piazzamento finale con la Mermet a 22.
Tra le 1000 non matematica ma certo vicina la vittoria finale per Nina Prinz, che a 50 punti non ha molto da temere da Lara Cordioli (33), mentre Marchetti (assente ad Assen) a 20 punti, Grayson e Sangers a 16, possono decidere la terza piazza della classifica finale.

Appuntamento a tutte quindi per l'ultima e decisiva gara il prossimo 12 ottobre ad Albacete, nella splendida cornice del Campionato Europeo che avrà in Spagna oltre all'UEM, promotori come Dorna e FGSport.

Another Successful Weekend for Slednecks Racing Teams' Josh Galster and Misti Hurst, Despite Stormy Weather, Schedule Changes, and Limited Trackside Support

June 10, 2008 Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin – Slednecks riders Josh Galster and Misti Hurst enjoyed another successful weekend, finishing 19th and 26th in the wet/dry AMA Supersport Race this stormy Sunday. 

Arriving for their first time at Road America in Elkhart Lake, after a 25 hour drive in a Ford Cargo Van with three passengers, complete with a Wallmart chair acting as the center seat, Galster and Hurst faced extremely difficult weather conditions while trying to learn the new track. 

Thursday's promoter practice was socked in with extreme fog and rain. During the last session Hurst, tailing teammate Galster, found a patch of slippery sealer in the last corner and crashed. Unhurt she returned the bike to the pits and with the help of Jason Farrell and his support crew, got her bike fixed and ready for practice the following morning.

Privateer racers with limited funding, the two California Superbike School coaches were running the team solo this weekend with no trackside support and no mechanic and had to rely on the folks from the Speed Tech Motorsports pit to help. "Jason, Jaegar, Keith, Steve, Rebecca and crew were so awesome this weekend. We had an amazing time and thank them immensely for sharing their pits with us!" said Hurst.

Friday's practice session was dry and Galster and Hurst worked hard to get up to speed on the extremely fast track. Josh was going good by the end of the day with a time of 2:28.7 while Hurst was still struggling and 8 seconds off the estimated qualifying time.

After a brief Saturday morning practice on a dry track, the afternoon qualifying session also took place in the dry, with black clouds hovering in the distance. Because of the extra events at this round including Moto ST and the Red Bull Rookies Cup, the entire group of AMA Supersport riders had just 20 minutes allotted in order to qualify. 15 minutes into the session a red flag was flown due to a motorcycle lying in the middle of the track. Looking on the timing and scoring screen, both Galster and Hurst were happy to see that they had made the grid. "I was so happy that we had both made it!" said Hurst, "First time at the track and we were both in the race, ya!" However, the AMA officials decided to cancel the remainder of the session and after some deliberation, disregarded the session entirely and decided that Sunday morning's practice would instead be used as qualifying. "I was pretty upset when I heard this," explained Hurst. "I worked my butt off running my fastest laps ever right off the bat. I qualified, and then they tell us we have to do it all over again, it didn't really count? It's unfair to us privateer riders that don't really have the budget to suddenly have to spring for another set of tires for a "new" qualifying session."

Sunday morning, the pair arrived at a soggy and stormy Road America and the morning's practice-turned –qualifying-session took place in heavy pouring rain. Both Galster and Hurst came into the pits only to find out that neither of them had made the 110% cut off time. In fact, nearly 15 riders didn't make the required qualifying times. "That sucks." said a soggy Josh as the two stood dejected under their dripping canopy.  As they prepared to pack up and leave for the day, they found out that the AMA was actually going to allow everyone to race. "It was so confusing and on-again-off again, that we just threw up our hands and said "whatever." said Hurst. "You qualified. Nope, just kidding you didn't really. Try again tomorrow.  Oh, you didn't qualify. Just kidding, you actually did, you can race today."

The Supersport race took place at 2:00pm on a wet but rapidly drying track and was started in two waves. Galster in 28th position and Hurst in 31st were in the second wave. Both riders on Kawasaki ZX6's got rocketing good starts, but after two laps the race was red flagged due to a back straight crash and the race was restarted with new grid spots. 

Without crew to help the riders change tires, make suspension changes or add gas, Galster and Hurst went back out on the drying track on full rains with their wet race set-ups. Galster, last on the grid now for the first wave of riders got a good start and moved his way up through the pack as high as 15th place and was within close proximity to the likes of Harrin, Gobert, Barnes and Beck. He persisted and was aiming for his first top 15 finish when his fuel light came on early and he had to try to conserve. On the final lap the bike began sputtering and bogging and barely made it up the final hill across start finish.   riders got by him right at the end and he finished with another top 20 in 19th place. "I was bummed out for sure, but what can you do. Next time we won't make that same mistake." said Galster.

Hurst, grabbing the holeshot from the second wave led that group of riders all the way to turn 9 even after a violent slide out of turn 5. Hanging with a few riders from the first wave and only passed by two from the second, Hurst ran a fairly uneventful race and happily crossed the line in 26th position. "A great way to end a crazy weekend," She commented. "It was fun!"

Snetterton NG

After the Brands Hatch meeting I was looking forward to Snett and hoped to be battling up the field again. Our bike was looking smart again after my crash at clearways and had a newly painted faring. Which I'm afraid didn't last long, I race one I was knocked off at the chicane by another rider who was pulling through the pack, so that was my first race over.

As I didn't finish the first race this meant I would be starting the 2nd from the back row of the grid, I managed to pull through the field and finish 8th, I was disappointed with this though as lap times were nothing special and I was struggling to see where I could go faster.

I tried not to dwell on it and thought it's another day tomorrow. So Sunday was just as hot and I felt happy with the bike in morning warm up, but again the racing wasn't great finishing down the field with slow lap times. For the 400 race we altered the suspension by making the front end a lot harder and I went quicker and felt a lot happier about the whole weekend.

I am please we altered the bike and made improvement otherwise the weekend would had been very disappointing with the results. I was grate to get away and the sunshine made for an enjoyable weekend.

Die ersten Rennen dieser Saison verliefen äußerst zufriedenstellend für Lucy & ihr Team. Am Samstag konnte sich die Krumhermersdorferin, im ersten Rennen, durch ihre hervorragende Fahrweise auf ihrem neuen Arbeitsgerät Platz 1 der 250ccm Klasse in der IG Königsklasse sichern. Am Sonntag konnte Lucy ihre Form bestätigen und im zweiten Rennen einen ausgezeichneten 2. Platz herausfahren.

Am 15. Juni findet in Assen der zweite Lauf des European Women's Championship statt. 20 Fahrerinnen haben laut letzter Presseaussendung für das Rennen auf dem Traditionskurs gemeldet. Erfreulich ist, dass es wieder einige neue Namen in diesem Bewerb gibt.

Erstmals sind Fahrerinnen aus Belgien und Dänemark dabei, nämlich Peggy Appelmans auf Ducati und Helle Asbjørnsdatter Lunden auf Kawasaki. Zu den bei ihrem Heimrennen zahlenmäßig überlegenen Niederländerinnen gesellen sich mit Liesbet Tolman und Priscylla Beentjes ebenfalls zwei Rookies.

Zu den routinierteren Starterinnen gehören die Titelverteidigerinnen Nina Prinz (GER) und Iris ten Katen (NED), Markéta Janáková (CZE), Tina Katrašnik (SLO), Nikolett Kovács (HUN), Lara Cordioli (ITA), Sharon Mermet (ITA), Susie Grayson (GBR), Deb Cartwright (GBR), Nadin Yakhnich (RUS), Natasha Lubimova (RUS), Susanne Bolhaar, Manuela Fokkema, Karin Ott, Bernice Sangers und Margreet Zant (alle NED). Die 600er-Fahrerinnen überwiegen wieder einmal.

Ein Großteil der Teilnehmerinnen hat im Mai Trainings oder gar Rennen in Assen bestritten, und da das EWC-Rennen letztes Jahr verregnet war, ist - entsprechendes Wetter vorausgesetzt - mit Zeitensteigerungen bei einem Großteil des Feldes zu rechnen.

 

Drittes IDM Wochenende Nürburgring 30. Mai - 01. Juni 2008

Der Nürburgring, einer meiner liebsten Rennstrecken… naja eigentlich gefallen mir ja alle Rennstrecken, aber der Nürburgring liegt mir sehr gut. Obwohl ich auch schon seit 3 Jahren nicht mehr auf dem Nürburgring Rennen gefahren bin, habe ich mich gleich wieder zurecht gefunden!

Das Freitagstraining ist für mich echt super gelaufen und ich konnte mein Bike schon in eine sehr gute Ausgangsposition für den Samstag bringen. Und kaum zu glauben wir Superbiker haben am Freitag mal keinen Regen abbekommen!

Der Samstag war für mich etwas enttäuschend… Für alle Klassen gab es nur ein Qualli. Es war den ganzen Morgen so nebelig, dass man nicht fahren konnte. Somit konnte man nur das für Nachmittag angesetzte Zeittraining fahren. Das wäre ja alles nicht so schlimm gewesen… aber wie dieses Jahr schon so oft, fing es pünktlich zu unserem Training an zu regnen. Mit fast trockener Fahrbahn konnte man zum Schluss des Trainings, schon wieder mit Slick-Reifen die Rundenzeiten jagen. Naja, mit dem 19-ten Startplatz musste ich mich dann zufrieden geben.

Schönes Wetter und gute Bedingungen am Rennsonntag. Morgens um halb 9, raus zum Warm up! Letztes mal checken ob alles am Bike seine Richtigkeit hat. Ich fühlte mich gut und konnte von Anhieb gleich gute Rundenzeiten fahren. Platz 7 im Warm up machte mich schon sehr positiv gestimmt.

Rennen Nummer eins… super Start, aber Rennabbruch! Da wollten es mal wieder ein paar wissen, direkt in der ersten rechts sind schon ein paar auf der Nase gelegen. Nicht viel passiert, Jörg, Andrej und ich sind ja heile durchgekommen. Also aufs Neue… die Yamaha lässt sich einfach toll starten, am Start wieder losgeschossen und gleich in den Top 15 etabliert. Während dem Rennen habe ich mich schön nach vorne gekämpft. Und manchmal konnte ich es fast nicht glauben, wie schnell und konstant ich unterwegs war. Und in der letzten Runde war dann sogar der 6 Platz in greifbarer Nähe. Ich wollte aber wirklich nichts mehr riskieren, der 8 te Platz war schon klasse!

Voll motiviert und strotzend vor Selbstbewusstsein, ging es dann ins zweite Rennen. Der Start war in Ordnung, leider bin ich aber in den ersten paar Kurven etwas eingeklemmt gewesen. Als 19 te bin ich dann aus der ersten Runde gekommen. In der 5ten Runden wollte ich dann meinem Vordermann überholen, habe sehr spät in die Kurzanbindung gebremst (zu spät!), ich musste geradeaus fahren!!! Alle waren vorbei… schnell umgedreht und weiter ging es! Als 32 ste bin ich wieder gekommen. Mit tollen Rundenzeiten und vielen Überholmanövern konnte ich mir dann noch den 16 ten Platz raus fahren! Im zweiten Rennen habe ich die siebtbeste Rennrunde gefahren… grandios, nur leider im zweiten Rennen nichts draus gemacht.

Über dieses Wochenende kann ich nur sagen, dass ich sehr viel Spaß hatte und dass ich ein ganz tolles Team hinter mir habe! Danke an alle…

ThundersportGB Meeting Brands Hatch Indy 31st May / 1st June 2008

I had been really looking forward to this meeting for two reasons. Its a circuit that I had already been to on the new bike this season so I would be able to instantly see any improvements made by myself. Secondly it would be our first outing with the newly formed ThundersportGB club.

I was riding in the Thundersport 600 class as well as the BSN Ladies race and Steve was riding in the GP1 class on his GSXR1000K6.

During testing on Friday I had decided to try different combinations of gearing, suspension settings and tyre pressures. Not being used to "gearing" a bike this season on the GSXR600 was a big learning curve. Settings that felt good at the start of the season were now starting to feel wrong and as I was lapping quicker, the gearing too was feeling wrong. It worked and during the day I was comfortable lapping in regular low 51 second laps. Half a second quicker than my personal best and 1 and a half seconds quicker than my best on the new bike set earlier in March.

Steve also got into the swing of things and was lapping in high 49's, something he had not managed to do for two seasons.

Qualifying for my 600 race went well with a surprising front row start from 4th with a 51.00. The bike was feeling very good and I was now able to carry the front harder through Druids and Graham Hill bend. These two corners are very crucial to a quick lap and are also two good overtaking points.

Steve qualified 9th with a 50.2.

My first race Saturday was a 16 lap superpole race, meaning the front row could change, determined by your race finishing positions. I didn’t get the best start and really had to work hard during the first 5 laps. I had a good battle with British Junior Superstock rider Jess Traylor who just pipped me on the line. Irish rider Marty Lennon also chased me very hard for the whole of the race. I hadn’t worked so hard during a race for a long-time and really enjoyed it. I came home in 6th with a 50.9. A personal best.

I had decided to sit out Saturdays BSN ladies race as the Thundersport 600 class was my main race. I had also suffered a bad nose bleed during the 600 race and feeling tired I did not want to risk a fall now my confidence in the bike was growing.

Sunday’s two 600 races yielded yet more close battles. Marty Lennon was my main rival during the race with both of us pushing hard for both of the 15 lappers. By now my confidence was growing with each lap and the bike was really rewarding me with excellent feedback. Race 1 I came home in 7th, one place behind Marty with another 50.9 and Race 2 I managed to get Marty back again for a solid 5th place with a personal best time of 50.4 which I was very pleased with as my personal goal has always been to get into the 49's. I can now see that this is possible.

Steve rode really well and came in with a 5th and 4th place and a personal best of a 49.3. He was over the moon!.

The last race of the weekend for me was the BSN ladies race. I had qualified 3rd on the grid and to be honest got a shocking start. Trying to make up for it meant the front wheel came up too high meaning I had to shut off quickly as I was aiming straight for the side of Deb Cartwright who had got a good start. Determined not to let it hamper me I out braked Susie Grayson into Druids but could quite pass Deb at the same time!.

Coming into Clearways I knew Debs would try and make up for her lack of drive exiting Clearways but didn’t quite expect for her to grab so much throttle. It was 10/10 for style with her feet in the air. This allowed me to get past on the exit and drive hard into paddock hill bend.

I knew I had to be fairly careful in this race as my rear tyre had started to cry enough during the last 600 race. The plan was to do just enough and stay smooth. Sadly Susie came off exiting Graham Hill which left me in a comfortable 2nd place with Jenny Tinmouth 6 seconds ahead. I just kept smooth and lapped as quick as I had to. I knew I couldn’t get up to Jenny to battle for 1st and even though Debs was having a good go at catching me the result was a forgone conclusion with Jenny first, myself second and Debs in third.

I had really enjoyed the weekend and now feel that my confidence is good with the bike (at last) and I am heading in the right direction at last. I just now need to work on the starts and hopefully will start bringing some trophies home.

This round at Brands Hatch is scheduled to be shown on Motors TV on 15th June at 7pm.

Our next round is Croix en Ternois in France on 14th-15th of June.

I believe this is the 1st time in the UK for a ladies race to have taken place, so as well as the PR side of things, it was always going to be a lot of fun and somewhat interesting. It was also a bit of a Feisty reunion; Leila even came out of retirement and then there were the other 14 ladies which signed up for a blast.

I left on an earlier flight from Vienna; I’m finding things a lot less stressful when I’m not racing the clock to get there. I brought my entire race gear home a few weeks ago following training at Assen; it was all part of the big logistical plan that is my season. So a nice relaxed me went out to play on Friday in the practice sessions. Now, I’ve always thought of Brands as my home circuit, I’m on 1st name and drinking terms with a lot of the staff there, so it was a bit of a home coming. I went out in the 1st session just for a nice and easy whizz around, just to blow the cobwebs out. I was amazed to see on my lap timer quite a few 52 second laps, which all came very easily. My fastest lap on my R6 previous was 52.4. Yey me!

I had quite a chilled day for the rest of the day, the standard suspension works well for me and I feel I have really gelled with the bike now, I swapped Sooz for a session and went out to play on the R1 (fair play for lugging that beast around Brands Indy) and also played with Leila for a bit on track. Fastest, unofficial lap time of the day a 51.1 Double yey me!

Saturday Morning qualifying. I went out on the same tyres as the previous day for the 1st qualifying session. I managed a 51.7 which put me 6th on the grid for the 600 race, nice. I put a new rear on for the second session and manage to find another .1 of a second, but a few others found time too, so I was placed 9th on the grid for the 600 superpole race later in the day, I chose not to enter this as I’d spent a small fortune to get here to compete in the ladies race and the 600 race was one race before the ladies race. I’m not as young as I ....... Actually the truth is, I’ve not been training as I should this year and a 15 lap race 10 minutes before the main event would not have been a good decision, plus I only had 2 rear tyres for the entire weekend.

The time set with the boys in Qualifying had earned me 4th on the grid for the ladies race, behind Jenny Tinmouth, British Supersport rider, Sooz was in 2nd and Sarah Jordon in 3rd. Sarah had just done the 15 lapper with the boys and confirmed my choice to sit it out was a good one, as she never made it to the grid for the 1st ladies race. I didn’t get as good as a start as I was hoping for and went into turn 1 behind Jenny and Sooz, that was the way the rest of the 10 laps went. I hung onto Sooz for a few laps, but really screwed up when I came upon a back marker. I was trying to be gentle and ended up much worse off than if I’d have just got on with it. So a nice 3rd place and a 51.3. Yey again.

Sunday. I went out for the 600 race in the morning; I had a wicked battle with Alex Bailey, an old adversary, in the warm up lap tee hee. I got a good start and went wide on the 1st corner, that saw me round the outside of a few which also gave me a good line for druids. It’s racing, but I was going around the outside at druids and a slower bike was just drifting out wide underneath and I was forced out with him which saw a few of the guys I took at paddock, get back under me at druids, including Sarah. I got a bit of a tow from her but she disappeared off after a few laps, she’s riding brilliantly right now. Apparently I had a good lead on Bailey, but my times were dropping lap by lap and he came underneath me into paddock towards the end of the race, he was all over the place though so I just retook him on the way out again. On the last lap, he came again at druids and he practically parked it and went nice and wide in, my intention was to get him on the way out again, but he had executed the perfect block pass screwing both of our exit speeds. I chased him to the line but my biggest problem all weekend had been coming out of clearways, I have a healthy fear of highsiding on the exit, I’d like to use the excuse of my bike being of Superstock Specification as to why I lose out on the straight, but I know myself, it’s a brain to right hand modification that I need. I really tried to squeeze the power on just that bit earlier and harder, but didn’t quite get him on the line; there was .2 of a second in it. Well done Bailey. I did find however another 2 tenths for a 51.1 done in an earlier lap chasing Sarah. Could I actually make a 50???

Ladies’ Race Sunday. I had a much better start, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Sarah’s front wheel lift maybe a little too high for comfort so gained the advantage when she had to roll off slightly, in front of me now was clear track and I though I had the hole shot. Alas, Jenny came sweeping across from the outside, I had 2nd though in front of Sarah and then Sooz I believe. Sarah attacked at Druids coming up the inside before the braking area; I just went round with her on the wider line and held inside for Graham Hill. Form what Sooz said, she was going to try and take both Sarah and I along cooper straight using the massive HP from the R1, unfortunately, she apparently had quite an impressive highside, but managed to save it only to lose control further down the straight and crash. Sorry Dudette.

I was still in front of Sarah going into clearways and I was determined not to let my right hand and head dictate the exit as I had seen earlier chasing Sarah that this really is where I loose all my time. Unfortunately, the expected happened as I opened up harder and earlier, the rear let go just enough to send me up in the air a bit and I lost the tiniest bit of drive which of course Sarah took advantage of and got underneath me.  I chased her for the rest of the race, I was gaining so much on most of the circuit, I was right behind her most laps going into druids, but especially after the 1st lap drama, clearways was even worse on the exit and she was pulling around a 100m each time out of clearways Grrrr. I was also riding defensively into Surtees as I had no idea Sooz had crashed and this is her strongest corner at brands. I was expecting her to duff me up every lap. I managed to get really close to Sarah on the last lap, but of course the run to the line is out of #@**@## clearways, she beat me by a clean couple of seconds in the end.  Another 51.1 and a 3rd for me and a sub 51 for Sarah, nice work.

Thanks to everyone who came along, we had a huge amount of support at the weekend, special thanks to Ian for looking after the bike and I’d like to congratulate Thundersport GB for an absolutely superbly ran meeting. I hope to be out playing again in the UK, but the rest of my plans for the season are all in Europe.

Slednecks Racers Misti Hurst and Josh Galster 32nd and 18th in this weekend's AMA 600 Supersport race, at Miller Motorsports Park.

June 2 2008, Salt Lake City, Utah - Slednecks Racer and California Superbike School Coach Misti Hurst finished 32nd out of 39 riders in the Sunday morning AMA Supersport Race this weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. Teammate and fellow riding coach, Josh Galster finished 18th, his third consecutive top 20 finish.

Running the full course configuration for the first time, both Hurst and Galster, on their 2007 Kawasaki ZX6R's had to learn the tricky 26-turn track in only a few practice sessions. Hurst struggled with the triple apex corners in the infield and by the end of Thursday's practice session was still over 10 seconds off the pace that she would need in order to even make the grid. On Friday, she took 9 seconds off her previous time for a 3:09.9, but still needed two seconds more in order to make the race. "I missed out of the race last year because there were so many guys trying to make the show. Even though I made the cut off time no problem, I was 47th and they only take 44 for the grid. I was determined to make the cut this year, whatever it took!"

On Saturday morning, even without a warm up session, Hurst went out on her EDR prepped, Dunlop shod Kawasaki and in her second lap banged out a 3:06.9, which would easily qualify her for the race. "I was so stoked to make the show! My fiancée and mechanic John Parker was super helpful as was Eric Dorn, Chris "Poo", Zack, MG, Bev and Michael. The team helped so much in getting me onto the grid and through the race. They were awesome!" 

On the grid in 39th position, Hurst rocketed off the start and gained 13 positions by turn 1. The only female rider in the race, Hurst stayed up in 26th place for the first two laps before being passed by some of the top privateers in the AMA. She rode strong and smooth and got down to a best time of 3:05.2 before crossing the finish line in 32nd position. "The race was pretty amazing.  My Kawasaki ZX6 worked great, the Dunlop tires held up awesome and my new Arai helmet improved my vision tremendously! Thanks to my team, my sponsors, all our helpers and all the fans that came by to offer support!" 8 Punkte in der Eifel

Am Wochenende fand der 3. Lauf zur Internationalen Motorradmeisterschaft am Nürburgring statt.

Nach einer späten Ankunft am Donnerstag und einem starken Unwetter in der Nacht war das Freitagstraining etwas durchwachsen. Am Samstagvormittag ging wegen starken Nebel dann gar nichts mehr. Das komplette erste Zeittraining wurde für alle Klassen aus Sicherheitsgründen abgesagt. Mittags klarte es dann endlich auf und die Trainings konnten beginnen. Doch der Wettergott meinte es nicht besonders gut mit uns. War es am Anfang des Trainings noch trocken, setzte in der zweiten Trainingshälfte der Regen ein. Für mich hieß das am Ende Startplatz 15. Mit meinem Start war ich dieses Mal nicht zufrieden und weil ein Konkurrent gestürzt war, gab es einen Rennabbruch. Der Restart  erfolgte nach kurzer Zeit. Aus der ersten Runde kam ich auf 12. Der Kampf konnte beginnen. Beim Überholen von J. Leigh-Smith habe ich mich ziemlich lange aufgehalten. Doch in der zweiten Rennhälfte hatte ich Platz 9 erreicht. Ich konnte mich bis Platz 8 vorarbeiten. In der letzten Runde ist es noch einmal richtig heiß geworden. Platz 7 lag ganz nah vor mir. Um einen Sturz zu vermeiden, mußte ich leider nachgeben und wurde als 8. abgewunken. Das war wieder ein tolles Rennen, bei dem ich sehr viel lernen konnte.

Mein Dank gilt dem Team Freudenberg für die große Chance und Unterstützung in meinem ersten IDM-Jahr. Ein besonderer Dank an meinen Mechaniker Siggi. Siggi, Du bist einfach Klasse! Mit Deiner Hilfe habe ich es so weit nach vorn geschafft.

Finalmente un buon weekend di gare

Una partenza discreta, un buon 7° posto finale. Prima fra le donne.

Il terzo appuntamento del Desmo Challenge a Vallelunga è stato un bel weekend di sole, durante il quale abbiamo ben lavorato sulla moto. Già negli ultimi test avevamo capito il perché delle mie precedenti brutte partenze e a Vallelunga ci siamo presentati fiduciosi.

Nelle prove libere ho girato di passo in 1’50” basso, mentre nelle qualifiche, complice il gran caldo, ho fatto segnare il 9° tempo, con un discreto 1’50”6, che mi ha permesso di partire come primo pilota della terza fila.

Al via sono scattata insieme al gruppo, dunque non benissimo, ma meglio del passato, e ho corso una gara in rimonta, arrivando al settimo posto finale. Mi sono divertita, anche se ho guidato con un occhio al risultato: dopo la sfortuna delle prime due gare era importante per me e per il team arrivare bene. Ma il ghiaccio è rotto, incomincio ad avere un buon feeling con la moto e mi sono avvicinata ai piloti di punta. Tra l’altro nel primo settore dell’autodromo, quello più veloce, ho fatto segnare il terzo miglior intertempo; dunque sul veloce riesco ad essere ancora più competitiva. E questo non può che farmi guardare con fiducia alla prossima tappa del Mugello.

Ringrazio tutti i ragazzi del team per il gran lavoro fatto in questi giorni, e tutti gli amici che sono venuti a sostenerci nella gara di casa. Unica nota dolente del weekend è stata la scivolata riportata in gara dal mio compagno di squadra e di vita, Riccardo Matesic, mentre mi tallonava (lui dice che stava per superarmi…). Spero si rimetta presto, sarà divertente ed eccitante ritrovarlo tra i cordoli nella prossima gara!

Nürburgring im Nebel versunken; Sarah Heide weiter im Aufwärtstrend mit Platz 28 und 23 (abzgl. Gaststarter) hinter Marketa Janakova !

Sarah Heide überzeugte mit kontinuierlicher Leistung und fuhr wieder ein Stück näher an die Spitze heran beim 3. Lauf der SSP600

Samstag der 31.05.08 um 10:00: Man sah nur noch grau in grau, bei einer Sichtweite von teilweise unter 50m wurde das komplette 1. Zeittraining abgesagt. Gegen 12.00 Uhr wurde es besser und das Laux Team bereitet Sarahs Motorrad für das einzige Zeittraining vor. Jetzt musste alles passen, und Sarah musste versuchen so schnell wie möglich eine gute Zeit hinzulegen, da es jederzeit das regnen anfangen hätte können. Sie zog kräftig am Kabel und fuhr 2 Sekunden schneller als im freien Training am Freitag. Mit einer Zeit von 1.34.10 war sie nur 1/100sek. langsamer als ihre Markenkollegin Marketa Janakova. Eine klasse Steigerung, in Lausitz waren es noch 8 sek., in Oschersleben 6 sek. und hier fuhr Sarah bis auf 4 sek. an die Spitzenzeit heran.

Somit ging es an den Start mit den beiden Damen des Feldes in einer Startreihe. Der Start verlief gut und Sarah konnte sich, nachdem das Feld sich geordnet hatte, hinter Marketa fünf Runden lang halten. Dann fuhr sie aber Runde für Runde 3-7/10 sek. schneller und Sarah musste sich geschlagen geben und platzierte Ihre Laux Suzuki zwei Plätze hinter Janakova auf Rang 28*.
